Weekend plans did not go as expected, I cancelled my Saturday day snowshoe plans due to poor weather conditions at Mt. Rainier National park. It was the right decision considering they did not even open the gates to Paradise due to the conditions. But nonetheless it was hard to miss out on my plans because I work 12.5 hours on Sunday and my mom flew in for a visit Saturday afternoon so I had a very small window of time to work with. So here is a throwback to a time when I was caught in white out conditions #campmuir on #mtrainier .... It was my Summit attempt on Rainier and I climbed with RMI Mountaineering guides and I was grateful for having their guidance down during the storm as we had lost our markings due to visibility of less than 2 feet and had to use GPS to help our descent. Within a week later I learned I was pregnant with my firstborn daughter. I did a few climbs after that and then I gave up mountaineering for almost 2 years. She will turn 5 this week which makes this photo almost bittersweet for me. This was shot at Camp Muir just before our descent.
I ventured into the snow last weekend and wound up in a ditch 😣 I instantly started panicking but within five minutes, three cars stopped to check on me and one guy already had a chain ready to pull me out! I couldn't believe my luck and before I could even collect myself, I was driving away ❄ those people that stopped to help were snow angels and I was so grateful! 😇 (p.s. shout out to the ditch for making us notice this pretty lil side road) 🌲
SUPER shaky follow cam on the iPhone from today. •
Today was a GREAT day. We did 3 laps of fuzzy knob and each was SAAAAH GOOD. •
Bottomless snow, face shots, fresh lines, ALLLLLLLL the pillows, beautiful views, & great company. Like I said before, today was a great day. ☺️❤️
Let me tell you, I am one happy/tired little lady right now. ❄️
Nothing but blue skies and sunshine on our way up to #cuyamacapeak ...but an ever present reminder of the horrific wildfires in 2003. The Cedar Fire burned 273,246 acres and is the 2nd largest fire in CA.
You know those people that...after you talk to them, it feels like your soul just got a giant hug??😇
Find people that are as weird as you are.😜
And LOVE them hard.
Noelle and I always manage to break it down every time we meet up.😂💃🏼
Dance parties for LYFE.
Foodie lovers always.
And goofballs- endlessly.
(Plus... she teaches me Acro.😍)
