Yesterday, I posted another set of ads from the same campaign. Both featured women and someone called out the sexism, which implied that women are liars and men are not. Those were the nearest to me and unobstructed by train passengers, so those were the ones I photographed first during my rushed morning commute. Today, I bring you another two.
Advertising in a diverse country like Malaysia can be a minefield, especially when it comes to negative issues like fake news (this example), child abuse, sexual abuse, lack of moral values, corruption... End up offending a particular segment of society and you have a PR nightmare to clean up. Previously, it was race, religion and skin shade. Now, gender equality is scrutinisd too.
