💫UPDATE💫 The most magical and amazing thing happened this week. I posted a few days ago that I was in need of help financially so I could have enough money to put down a deposit on a place to live since I’m supposed to be leaving my AirBnB on March 31st. (For those who haven’t been following my spiritual journey, I have been working on manifesting a new job and home for myself in California over the last 15 months and I finally pulled it off. I’m originally from Virginia.)
I asked if anyone had money to spare to please consider purchasing a tarot card reading from me from my Etsy store. Not ONLY did people purchase readings, but so many people who I haven’t had the fortune of meeting in real life, only knowing them through Instagram, came to my rescue and asked for my PayPal and Venmo address so they could donate money to me. One person had never been to my page before but said the Universe sent him to my page and he reached out to ask how much more money I needed to reach my goal and he gave it to me. 🙏🏻😭🙏🏻😭
I’m in complete and utter shock and awe that the Universe sent these people to me in my time of need. I’m so incredibly humbled and have ugly cried several days this week in response. THANK YOU, ALL OF YOU!!! I have prayed, asking the Universe to please bless each one of you ten fold. 💋💋💋
As of Friday I was able to put down a deposit on a room for rent in a house with two awesome chicks in NORTH HOLLYWOOD!!! All because of God, the Universe and all of your help and prayers. I will never be able to thank you enough. I hope to return the favor someday. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!
A sweet friendship refreshes the soul. 💕
Since I was a child, I have prayed for Christian friends, to uplift and encourage me through life. Liz, you are that kind of person and an answer to my prayers. I'd be lying if I said it was easy to say goodbye, but excited for this next chapter in your lives. Blessed to have met you a year ago, and even more blessed to call you my FRIEND. Our love for fitness and the Lord brought us together, and I couldn't be more grateful for those shared passions. I've enjoyed working out together, our long walks, uplifting chats, kids playdates... 👭💕
I was lucky enough to spend the last few hours with her and Mike before they embarked on their 1,000+ mile journey. Louisiana, please take care of this beautiful woman and her precious family. You guys will be missed dearly... and loved no matter where you go! I'll be seeing you my dear friend. @lizfassel ❤❤
Packing. Everyone hates packing but moving to a new location is my kind of thing. My packing advice? You know all the sheets and big, bulky, comforters? Don't smash them into bags or waste trash bags. Instead, take down your wall decor, paintings, framed pictures, large pieces, TV, etc. Wrap them snuggly in the blankets or sheets. Helps to protect the pieces from being scratched or damaged while moving. Secure everything with tape or rope.

Arthur's Pass-->Otira Viaduct-->Greymouth-->Nelson-->Havelock-->Blenheim(Home of Sauvignon Blanc in NZ) 🥂
What an amazing day of views, more technical driving in the hills and mountains, as well the twists and turns along the West Coast of the South Island.
Arrived into Blenheim just before 5pm after leaving Arthur's Pass at 9am (where you will find today's coffee cup design with the beautiful Kea featured).
Next, passing over the stunning Otira Viaduct (with a downhill grade of 16%!!), on to Greymouth for a view upriver.
Swapped my 70's wagon for this blue beauty from 1929! (I wish!) On to Nelson, a quick sip of wine at Greenhough and view of the beach out the car window and it was on through the mountainous hills Northeast of the city to Havelock in the Marlborough Sounds before descending into the vineyards of the Wairau Valley to find blue skies and the setting sun over one of my favourite NZ views.
Visited the awesome Wine Station in Blenheim township for a self-serve tasting concept. Only been open for a month inside the recently renovated Heritage station. (Wine.. in the Train Station.. =Wine Station get it?)
Wonderful staff and a great selection of Marlborough wines. Can be very busy when the Marlborough Flyer train comes in, but I caught them on a quiet Sunday afternoon.
Finally the great surprise of the day was getting to meet up with Maddison aka The Nomadic Grapevine for an awesome BBQ with her and the other vintage staff from Whitehaven. First time meeting her, great how Instagram can foster such friendships! This one I met through the Instagram stories of Cristie Norman!
I brought along a Gibbston Valley School House Pinot Noir 2010 and the awesome Takahata Winery Arkadia 2013, blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot, an excellent example of cool climate Japanese wine from Yamagata Prefecture.
Cracker of a day.
Onto wine tasting around Blenheim for Day 3!
Anywhere you recommend, shout out!
