Phew - it has been a stressful couple of weeks of adulting. And I've snacked on things that I regret, because it was BLAH stuff that wasn't even good! 4 slices of old Italian bread in our fridge that was gonna get tossed... a cocktail of Rum and OJ... handfuls of Saltine crackers... a few english muffin breakfast sandwiches from DD... not worth the extra sugar/sodium. 😝😩
I just shoved it in my mouth to cope with stress! I didn't skip any workouts, but I can tell a difference when I'm NOT on top of my shit. It's not easy all the time, especially when you have so few hours in the day to get all the adulting done, but I REFUSE to let it get the best of me. I've come this far, and I'm not taking myself out of the game. 😤
I did a damn good job meal prepping on Sunday (by myself! No help from Chef Boyfriend!), so I feel prepared. If I feel myself doing some mindless munching, I'm just gonna take a couple deep breaths, think about WHY I'm munching, and tell myself to put the (insert BLAH food) down. 😥😏😌

I got to work this morning and the last thing I wanted to do was sit for 8 hours 😩. My body felt so sore, achy, tight, tense, knotty, restricted - bloody awful! All I wanted to do was take over the office floor and contort my body in various #yoga poses to feel that stretch I so desperately needed.
Having a body in a constant state on tension and tightness not only feels shitty, but it absolutely exhausts me. I am a complete wreak by the end of the day. The last thing I feel like doing is a weights session!! But I have to. This is my #medicine and what I need to do to keep my body functional. If I didn't do it, I would be complaining about more that tightness and we don't want to go there!
After warming up with some #myofascialrelease and #mobility drills, it was time to get the #sled out and do some Single-handed Backward Sled Pulls.
It felt so go to be moving. Having my body do what it's meant to do.

Quick and easy core blast superset that can be done anywhere...all body weight only, no weights or gym required! Great, low impact movements...this video is sped up a bit, make sure your movements are slow and controlled and be sure to brace your core throughout the entire set! This can be modified by completing the same exact movements with our knees down to the floor

Spring is coming!!
Time to get out of hibernation and get moving.🏃🏻♀️🕺🏼🏃🏼♂️💃 Your Workout Of the Week is a simple, do anywhere routine. Pick a cardio move of choice: run, stair climbs, bike, elliptical, jump jacks, jump rope, Burpees 😂. Shoot for 5 minutes then 1 minute each of Squats, Push-ups and lunges. Repeat the circuit but with 4 minutes cardio...then 3, 2 and finally 1. By the end you should have 15 minutes of ❤️ pumping cardio and 15 solid minutes of bodyweight strength movements.
As always remember to challenge yourself with quality movements. You can make it easy, or you can make it work.
