Put my little human down to sleep over an hour ago and instead of going to sleep as well, decided to chop it up with @marynitey . By the time we were done, I realized I had to feed my little human again in a couple hours...which, by the time I get ready for bed and tell my brain to calm down and go to sleep, it's really less than an hour. 😂 And then I wonder why I'm so exhausted. The struggle when you're carrying so much stuff... While getting ready to go home from last night's party:
My mom: "Ok na lahat ng gamit mo? Check mo, baka may maiwan ka."
Me (checking my things): "Bag ko... baby bag... phone..."
My mom: "Yung stroller?"
Me: "Andun na kay Kurt (my cousin). Nilagay na niya sa kotse."
My mom: "Yung takeout mo na pagkain?"
Me: "Nasa akin na."
My mom: "Ok. Wala ka na nakalimutan ah?"
Me: "Wala na. Sige, una na ako... Ay wait!!! Yung anak ko!!!" 😂😂😂 .
(My mom was carrying Andi kasi. Haha! I think she intentionally didn't remind me to get Andi from her coz she didn't want Andi to go home yet! 😂 Namiss ng lola!) .
I took it for granted when we lived in Hawaii. There’s a reason it’s called the rainbow state. Certain parts of the island we lived on, you could look out through the rain, and see multiple rainbows across the island. Whenever I saw one, I felt God’s love for me. We’ve all been down for the count with croup, colds, food allergies (total mom fail), and a sprained ankle these last couple of weeks. Being sick and/injured stinks, but I have found that it’s in those moments when we are brought low, that the Lord really lifts us up higher. I let myself get super flustered and anxious about baby #3 , and being forced to slow down and snuggle our sick kiddos these past couple of weeks has really brought things back into perspective for me. It’s created space for time and energy I didn’t think I had, to just hold each one, and stroke their faces, and tell them I love them. Not “nightnight, I love you, I’ll see you in the morning,” but stop and recognize their growth and development, and tell them how proud I am of them, and thank them for being our children so that we could be their parents. It is hard work being 2 and 10months, and I feel like if I blink, I may miss the moments where understanding twinkles in their eyes, or a mischievous idea crosses their minds, or those sweet moments where they deepen their bond as siblings. It can be so hard in this crazy, busy world, but thanks to all of our “set backs” that have really become blessings, I am determined to do better and not let life pass me by. This was one of those sweet moments where my 2 year old kept asking “Brother sick? Mama he’s sick? I sit blanket. You sit over there!” She insisted on sitting with him until he woke up, and then stroked his cheeks every time he coughed that day saying, “aww Bubba, it’s ok.” Melted my heart and reminded me of how grateful I am to have each of these tiny, but mighty spirits in our home. It’s been a rough couple of weeks, but the rainbows are definitely there, peeking through the clouds 🌈

I just received my first round of Neuro and Renew. Man do I need the Neuro. I feel like I have had pregnancy brain for 15 years. Maybe my brain has shrunken to the size of a walnut from the mommy happy hours and lack of sleep that comes with parent hood, maybe I have been running on white wine an caffeine for to many years. My little stud is about to turn four and I can’t wrap my brain around it.....it’s no joke the days are long but the years are short❤️ this might be the best age I’ve yet to know. He’s inquisitive, loving, full of life, and has no shortage of energy! Playing catch has a new meaning to me 🏈⚾️💕
Day 16 of the #hsbloggers photo challenge is “current project.” I have a bunch but right now I’m focusing on getting our homeschool supplies and kid stuff organized now that we have furniture again. Each child has a shelf (bottom to fourth shelf up, from youngest to oldest) and a box for their junk. We also have some communal bins in the new TV stand. Next pic is of my #wip book I’m writing. It’s called Stress Less with Systems and Routines and it’s about how to manage your household with a bunch of little kids, in a nutshell. The tag line is “A Practical Guide to Home Management.” I’ve been working on it for almost a year now but keep getting distracted by other projects. I recently discovered how nifty the headings are in Google Docs. 🤩 I wanted the book to be written by Dec 31, then it was Jan 31, now it’s beginning of April. I have taken on too much with my blog but I’m trying to hustle and get reviews and guest posts done plus get some regular posts scheduled so I can focus on getting this done!!! But I’m a stickler for not putting out half-done work so it does take me longer to do things than if I wasn’t a perfectionist. 😒 #homeschoolbloggingconnection#lifewithlittles#mommybrain

If you asked me what has the power to make me sad, I’d say the biggest thing is my post-baby lack of memory. I don’t remember a LOT...like important/not insignificant things that happen in life. Much of the time, so much is only remembered because I took a photo or Instagram video of it. I think that’s why I film Jasper to death. When my others were his age, Instagram didn’t exist in the same way so I’m desperately trying to catalogue everything with this one...because I know I won’t remember it. 🤯
The mommy brain fog thing is real and it makes everything seem sort of fruitless because what’s the point of making memories if those memories are just going to fade away with the rest?! 🧠
Well...I’m making changes because this girl isn’t giving up the sweet past without a fight this time:) I’m doing all the things that will apparently help stave off the fog. To start, I’m focussing huge on hydration so that my brain cells can actually do what they are supposed to. On that note, I’m drinking 2oz a day of YL Ningxia mixed with a pile of water everyday, because each ounce of the red juice literally has the equivalent to a week’s worth of fruit and vegetable antioxidants. Also I’m starting back up with those online brain exercise regimes to give a little workout there to stop the atrophy lol. And finally, I’m using oils in my daily routine that support mental clarity and function. Some of the best for that are clary sage, peppermint and rosemary. The later is my favourite. First, though I hate it as a herb flavour, I LOVE the smell...think eucalyptus with a hit of maple syrup. Second, a few drops on my wrists and temples, and I’m instantly more able to concentrate on the task or people in front of me. I think half the problem with memory is that as a busy mom, we’re just doing doing 1000 things at once and unable to focus on anything in a real way...in the way that puts it in the memory stores. Rosemary is helping me be able to just horse blinder one thing at a time and that is wow/amazing. It’s a can’t live without for me. 🌱

Yesterday I was so embarrassed when I experienced this cognitive problem.🤔
I asked a friend who's baby she had with her. I knew full well the baby was hers. I knew when she was pregnant. I went to her house after her baby was born. But it totally slipped my mind and I couldn't think of who she had in her stroller. I felt like I had dementia like my Grandmother had as she would ask daily who my sister's baby was. When my friend delicately told me the baby was hers I sheepishly remembered. I could have felt worse had she not responded with empathy.
And then I thought, oh how I need my Clarity. 🍋

I haven't taken Bar Method class in a week or so.
I was in a bit of a funk and as we all know when mama is in a funk the whole household is too 😜
I jumped right back into it with a 45 minute Express class. Don't let the title fool you. Anyone who has done diamond water ski before knows what a challenging leg set that is.
Working out, sweating, relieving stress, challenging myself mentally and physically is so important.
Tomorrow I'm 29 weeks pregnant!
May 30th will be here before I know it.
Baby girl will be so loved by her parents.
Has an 'ah-ha' moment the other day that I thought I'd share. All of my kids grew out of the baby puree food stage WAY before I used up all the purees. I've had these @weesproutco reusable pouches since #stinkypete was little. I just through in a few cubes of food, let them thaw and #babybelle goes to town! Such an easy thing to have in the diaper bag too for shopping trips and quick snacks! I can't believe it took me this long to remember that trick...🙈 Blaming it on the #mommybrain
Mommy brain caused me to mess up my order for my super food shakes. I am dairy free and ordered the regular instead of the vegan and had to do an exchange. MAN did I miss these things. These shakes are by far the easiest thing that I can do for my health. They are freaking delicious. They are my daily multivitamin, fiber and probiotic. No matter how clean I try to eat there's no way I can get all the nutrients I need every single day so thank goodness for these babies! .
