Another #goodmailmonday with @howtofailpodcast and @thenostalgiacollective, and this week’s prompt was Grade School Valentine’s Day Party. Hope you enjoy my attempt at channeling those notes we all used to pass in class. 🗒✏️✔️
Heather's greyhound, Colorado, made a special appearance throughout her wedding including a statue of him on the escort table, showing up himself for photos, and this wax seal on their invitations! ⠀

“It is overwhelming not to know how all of this brokenness will be mended but may you be all the more overwhelmed by how loved you are & how wonderful it is that God is completely in control of your healing & the restoration your soul desperately needs.”
The perfect reminder to wake up to every morning and to go to sleep by every night. The Lord is good. & you are loved.
Free spirited, set free, free of chains , freedom to BE. Any kind of free is a good kind of free. Tonight I needed a reminder that these extra chains I’m carrying around are not locked. I’m free to take them off at any moment. So you and I should just do that, ya know? .

I turned 27 this weekend and if I could have skipped over the day completely, I would have. It was an awful day. But this isn’t a pity party post cause I ain’t about those. No, this is a reminder. A reminder to everyone out there, like myself, to love yo freakin self! Sometimes we get too comfortable in life. We start relying on others to fill our happiness cup and we forget that we, our selves, are in fact solely responsible for our happiness. So here’s some advice from a girl who was recently reminded of something so important, get comfortable being alone. Take yourself on a date, go for a walk, take a bath, go to the book store, buy yourself flowers. Fill that freaking happiness cup to the brim doing what YOU love so that is has no choice but to overflow onto those around you.
Welcome to a new week! I've been working on some new calligraphy and hand lettering styles to expand my collection of "fonts" to offer everyone! They'll be available for signage and paper goods. Super excited to present them to you all soon! 📸: @laviephoto
Currently driving back to Florida after an AMAZING week in Texas! 🌟 We got to meet a new baby cousin, see some of our closest friends, AND witness the marriage of another cousin with a great party to follow! 💃🏼💕 Texas itself was pretty fantastic, and I can’t wait to visit again someday! 🤠✨Now looking forward to getting back home to our sweet pup and the fun custom orders waiting for me 💓
“Cin cin!” the Italian equivalent of clink clink I suppose, but a lot more fun to say 🥂 that coaster option isn’t photographed bc it may or may not be protecting my table from my wine glass right now 🤷🏻♀️ BUT these 6 coasters are up for grabs and left overs from my pop up a week ago - please DM me to purchase (individually or as pairs/set)!

Guys, the “inspirational quotes” that I letter sometimes are NEVER things that I actually practice. I usually pick quotes or phrases that am so disconnected to, and make myself stare at it for hours and hours while lettering it. I don’t speak highly of myself (ever) and I’m hoping to change that. So if you ever hear me say something self deprecating, just say “Day 27”.
Mondays call for a little shimmer, a little flourish, and a big helping of positivity to kick off the week.
Since I'm sharing the love today, I also have a super cheap calligraphy hack to share. When writing, I always tilt my ink jars to make dipping my nibs easier. This is especially useful if the ink doesn't fully fill the jar. The secret to balancing the jar perfectly while preventing inktastrophies is to use a kneaded eraser. Just work your eraser into a blob, stick it onto your work surface, and press your jar down into it at the angle you need. The putty-like texture of the eraser has always held my jars perfectly and if I have any stray pencil marks on my piece at the end, I can then use it in its intended purpose as an eraser! Anyone else ever use this hack? .
