"In life, there is suffering, because of the impermanent nature of things.
Because we feel more secure when we have a sense of predictability, we develop a great capacity for denying a simple truth: that nothing stays the same. Then the unpredictability of life shows us that even if we do everything “right” and exercise every precaution, we can still face unexpected loss.
When this happens the shock can make it hard to regain your equanimity and exercise nonreactvity. Too often, rather than surrender to the inevitability of change and work creatively with it, people resort to the fear-based behavior of trying to take charge and force other people and situations to conform to their expectations. The first noble truth of Buddhism is a reminder not to slip into the avoidance behavior of denial. While it’s not wise to create gloomy thoughts about how matters might take a turn for the worse, consciously ignoring the reality that all situations transform sets you up for a great shock when that time comes.
Suffering is due to attachments and expectations, to grasping and clinging.
Your inability to avoid change may make you angry, sad, and frustrated. It can be hard to let go of the false belief that the only way to achieve happiness again is to regain what’s been lost. Even when you know you can’t reverse the situation, you may agonize over this reality.
Clinging to what once was, avoiding the process of grief and acceptance, causes paralysis. Grasping for a future set of circumstances identical to the past holds you back from discovering what better roads lie ahead, outside of your sight. Did you know that one of the easiest ways to soothe and comfort yourself and ground you in your body when you’re feeling distressed, is to simply put your hand on your heart and feel the warmth of your hand.
Research indicates that physical touch releases oxytocin (the “feel good” hormone), provides a sense of security, soothes distressing emotions, and calms cardiovascular stress.
It may feel silly or awkward at first, but your body doesn’t know that. It just responds to the physical gesture of warmth and care, just as a baby responds to being cuddled in its mother’s arms.
So next time you sit down to meditate and find yourself experiencing distress or overcome with difficult emotions, I encourage you to try this practice, and offer yourself a supportive touch. I think you’ll be surprised at how healing it is.

So I’m still using the mantra from the other day. This city has an energy I can’t explain. Today we visited the oldest cathedral this far north in the world and the buzzing sensation I get from standing on history like this... oh my gosh! 2018 has taught me more than I’ve learnt in the last few years put together about myself, life, people, passion, goals, challenges, mindset, and how it is about how many times you get back up. I couldn’t be more thankful. More determined. More excited. More on a mission to achieve goals even bigger than I could have dreamed 6 weeks ago.
In life, you get what you put in.
When you make a positive impact in someone else’s life, you also make a positive impact in your own life.
The more you help others, the more they will want to help you.
Love and kindness begets love and kindness.
There is nothing better when you feel down, to lift someone else up.
And you don’t even have to feel down to do it…(!)
There is no better way to break up a self-pity party by taking your focus off yourself and helping another.
One of the fastest ways to feel better is to simply give back.
It’s a proven fact.
The universe is funny like that.
If you go out and make good things happen, you will soon find that the good stuff just comes back to you. Twofold.
There is a Chinese saying that reads: “If you want happiness for an hour, take a nap. If you want happiness for a day, go fishing. If you want happiness for a year, inherit a fortune. If you want happiness for a lifetime, help somebody.”
For centuries, the greatest thinkers have suggested the same thing: Happiness is found in helping others.
I don’t think they were wrong.
Why not give it a try and help someone it doesn’t have to be a big grand gesture even something small can be profound and see for yourself how that makes you feel.
Being kind is the cool.
Oh, and the happiness bit that always comes with it, well that’s just an added benefit!

Mindfulness, peacefulness, self-awareness.. these are all things we certainly aren’t born with.
In an age of advertisement, entertainment, and constant stimulation, we have seemingly no way to just rest, and just be what we are; without KFC trying to get us to buy their new 🎵 Smokey Mountain BBQ 🎶
Health disorders such as Anxiety, high blood pressure, and stress are out of control.
There’s no simple solution, but daily meditation has been proven to deduce anxiety, depression, high blood pressure, improve concentration, and generate a general sense of well-being.
There’s nothing mystical about Meditation. It’s a simple act of sitting or walking, while focusing on your breathing.
So how do we start?
Well, I prefer to be seated somewhere quiet and without a lot of distraction, with my back straight, and be mindful of my breathing.
I bring I full attention to the present moment, and acknowledge my breath for as long as my routine has allowed me.
My preferred practice is an hour per day. But you can start as short or as long as you like. 10, or even 5 minutes is enjoyable and a fantastic stress reliever.

Last night was a particularly challenging mastership session. Areas I haven’t been listening to in my life have created things I can’t ignore. So that I’m left with no choice but to change some of the ways in which I’m living my life. One in particular that I’ve lived with since I was 10. ✨✨
Lots of tears were shed and powerful emotions experienced. I felt heady and out of control, there was a strong voice saying ‘you can’t do it, it’s not possible, you’ve tried a million times before’
But something changed, with a smile @saraspaceinbetween said to me ‘where have you changed before?’ And suddenly I realised, I was ready for this next journey, I was ready to make the change.
Sometimes we are not ready straight away to make the changes we want to, don’t stop trying, have patience and keep doing the work. ✨✨

🇺🇸Following my last post on achieving results, I read a great post by Molly Cain who summarized in 6 key points everything I believe on this subject, definitely worth sharing!
Read below my understanding and experience in each of them - I used this to workout, get a raise, study abroad and many other goals!! Share what you do to achieve your own goals!
1. Be realistic - setting up goals is getting out of your comfort zone, but not into the danger zone - earning a 20% raise in a year might be realistic, 20 million dollars in a month might not be…
2. Break it up into smaller steps - in a way you can both achieve and celebrate small victories, which will definitely boost your way up.
3. Set a date - goals without dates downgrade to dreams. Whenever you set a date for a goal, it upgrades to an attainable, urgent objective.
4. Make it visual! Find ways to be looking at your goal every day. To me, what works best is to see every day my calendar and my Asana task list.
5. Tell people - you’d be amazed by how much your network can actually help you get where you want by simply cheering you on or leveraging meaningful connections.
6. Commit to yourself- I could not stress this enough. This is the most important of the 6. Until you commit to yourself and decide to drive your own life, you will experience several failures trying to reach what you want.
Exploring the energetic world is equal parts self exploration and environmental exploration.
The energies within can also be found in the world around you.
The energetic laws that govern the world around you also govern you.
The energy within shapes the way you percieve the world around you.
The energies you welcome into your space help shift the internal energies and can therefore shift your perception.
Energy no matter where you find it has the power to create worlds. So if we want to make something, if we want to make shifts in our life or our perception we have to learn how to use these energies to our advantage.
We have to learn how dance between the internal and external energies that make this reality possible.
Play by the energetic rules and you my friend will have the power to create worlds.

The studio is a mess. Another day has gone by and yet the main thing on my “to do” list remains. I feel uneasiness in my heart and fog in my mind. The worries that had faded from days past have returned and my heart-centered dreams seem so far away. But when I stop and FEEL nature. I mean like really, FEEL it....bare feet on the cold, wet ground, sunshine on my face and a light breeze blow through my hair, I’m reminded to just close my eyes and be grateful. To do just that. FEEL. And breathe. Step outside and take in what is around you. Then remember, this all is impermanent. —
