It’s a cycle. Bogged down with work, worrying about the next challenge, caught up with issues to be resolved, keeping the peace....constantly trying my best to battle for that balance in life.
Unfortunately, this seems to be accepted as the norm; and our so called first world problems.
Amongst all of this, I feel like I’m loosing myself and forgetting about the simple things and the joy they bring us. Just simple... nothing complex.
Came across Massimo bottura’s article about how often food is wasted but can be turned into something so extraordinary for the hungry... It got me thinking. How often have I wasted food, scraps, because I felt like I had to have it? Guilty as charged.
I also noticed a growing no. of ppl who are on the streets as I walked past during my meetings...how lucky and spoilt are we to have food on the table?
I stared at my fridge. Cheese, got lots none of which are finished, and will probably mold if I don’t finish anytime soon, corn kernels, tomatoes...What can I do here?
Thought of my spirit food.. Mac and cheese and added can tuna, and it became a Mac and cheese x tuna mornay. Just good food for the old soul.
If you are feeling the same.. rmb to breath a little...slow down a little and just enjoy these simple things in life.
