✨Let’s talk lunch✨
This is my absolute go to at the moment as it’s so full of flavour, fits my nutrition requirements and can be tweaked easily to avoid boring the palate.
@malonesbutchery providing the protein in the form of their delicious lamb koftas, carbohydrates thanks to boiled potato (dressed with mustard seeds and a little red wine vinegar), lots of veg (fresh basil and baby Roma tomatoes, grilled zucchini, red onion and olives), fats from 1/2 a baby bel cheese and a little olive oil, seasoned with salt and pepper and a little smoked paprika 👌🏼😍
Mix it up but varying the protein source (I like mince, lamb, beef and chicken) and changing up the type of veggies.
As always, eat the rainbow!

Great food and a reminder of how much I love ❤️ the Mediterranean diet. ⠀
Related to that there is new research 🔬 that was published by The Endocrine Society and will be presented at ENDO 2018 in Chicago. ⠀
📚 The study conducted by the Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul in Brazil was specifically focus on older women, after 55 years of age. Sample size was 103 people. ⠀
All women underwent bone scans to measure their bone mineral density, total body fat and lean mass, which was used to estimate skeletal muscle mass.⠀
The women that had a good adherence to the Mediterranean diet, were significantly associated with higher bone mineral density and with greater muscle mass. ⠀
Another recent study that will be presented at the American Academy of Neurology's 70th Annual Meeting in Los Angeles found that people eating a diet rich in veggies, fruit and whole grains are less likely to be depressed that who did not. ⠀
Maybe that's why I'm always so happy 😀 when eating Mediterranean food!⠀

I’ve had a few questions about the upcoming A U T U M N R E S E T so here’s a bit more info for those of you interested in participating.
How much time commitment is required? .
~ it’s 30 day program plus 1 week of prep, you will need about an hour a week to view content and 30 mins a day to cook (varies but it’s still totally do-able even if you work and have kids). I recommend putting time aside on the weekend to make a few recipes and desserts for the week.
How much are supplements?
~ Depending on your situation they could be $100-$300. In our 1:1 we scale to your needs and budget.
How much is the food?
~ While I recommend organic food it’s more a priority to eat the right foods, so just organic where you can. I personally shop at Aldi where I can and know how to be very savvy with my food budget so can guide on this no problem.
~ Keep in mind the diet is actually based on very basic foods that are widely available and anything fancy you can skip. To save money DIY!
What is the diet like?

This is recipe #2 from my fav cookbook today! Mediterranean chopped salad 🥗 from @testkitchen “Nutritious Delicious” is full of fiber, vitamins A, C, and K, folate, and manganese. It’s tasty, satisfying, and low cal. Perfect with a glass of red wine!! 🍷
1. Veggies. 🍅 🥒 Toss 1 seeded and chopped English cucumber with 10 oz quartered grape tomatoes and 1 tsp salt and drain in colander for 15 minutes.
2. Dressing. 👩🍳 Whisk 3 tbsp red wine vinegar with 2 cloves garlic in a large bowl. Whisk in 3 tbsp EVOO. Add drained cucumbers and tomatoes. Add 1 box chickpeas (drained and rinsed), 1/2 cup pitted and chopped kalamata olives, and 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley. Toss and let sit for 10 minutes.
3. Magic. ✨ Add 1 head (1 lb) chopped escarole, 1/2 cup crumbled feta (2 oz), and 1/2 cup chopped and toasted walnuts. Season with salt and pepper.
4. Enjoy! 😋

Polpetta di ceci con verdurine tritare e semi di sesamo😋😋..una prelibatezza per il palato (non l'ho preparata io😉, il merito è di un bravo cuoco). Ritengo sia un'ottima idea per chi non sa come cucinare i ceci. Semplicissimo, si cucinano i ceci, si frullano (questo li renderà maggiormente digeribili, evitando fastidiosi gonfiori), si insaporisce con qualche spezia a piacere, con succo di limone e olio extravergine d'oliva, si preparano delle palline e si passano sopra un mix di verdure tritate più o meno finemente....e voilà il gioco è fatto!! Semplicissimo da preparare e ideale anche per invogliare i più piccoli a mangiare i legumi (importante fonte di proteine di origine vegetale, fibre e carboidrati)😋😋😋😋
