> My dog always seems to want the most attention from me when I’m meditating or doing yoga! Lol What you can’t see is that she jumped up there and started licking my hands. But I just tried really hard to ignore it. I just couldn’t. Totally broke my concentration. 😂 > Once we both settled back down, I was able to relax and focus on the relaxing sounds of the music, allowing each thought that popped into my head to float on by like a cloud. > Tonight’s mudra: Naga Mudra - meant to provide insight, clarity, and wisdom in every day circumstances, and even when confronting larger stressors or conflict. “Cup your right hand in your left and position your thumbs over one another so they form an X, with your right thumb on top.” > Tonight, I sat for maximum relaxation, by sitting in “easy pose” and placing my body pillow as a support for my knees. This just felt good tonight, but supports under the knees are a great idea for people who are right through the hip flexors. *Source on mudras: Namaslay by Candace Moore.
“Worrying is praying for stuff you don’t want.” - @jensincero 🧚🏽♀️💜 Is anyone else here a worrywart? I’m slowly getting better it and I’ve got a plan to improve. I’ve started using the app @calm for just 5 minutes every morning and it honestly makes me feel calm as a cucumber 🥒 and happy as a clam 🐚 even if I wake up in a tizzy — which is most mornings! Especially after the crazy dreams I had last night about a rainbow tornado... 🙃🌪🌈 (What does this even mean???) Five minutes a day may not seem like a lot, but it’s a start and it can make a huge difference in your day. Just knowing that you took the time for yourself to meditate can make you feel centered, empowered, calmer and in control ✨⚖️⏳If you don’t know how to meditate I suggest finding guided meditations that align with your goals! There are loads of free ones on YouTube. If you want to do minimal — start with focusing on your breath and every time your attention starts to wander just gently draw it back to your breathing. You can even count breaths or count the seconds it takes to breathe in and out, trying to keep them even. Add a microscopic hold of the inward and outward breath before switching! You can even focus deeply on everything you are grateful for in the present moment. Donuts, cozy socks, butterflies, your bed, the fact that narwhals exist, whatever! There isn’t a wrong way to practice meditation, and there’s a reason why they call it a meditation PRACTICE. It takes practice. You’re only doing it for yourself so don’t judge where you’re at each day — some days are harder than others. You’ll never regret taking 5 minutes for yourself, the rest of your to-do list can wait that long. Oh, and slight little smile never hurts. 🏝😌🌸
You are untouchable. Just like happiness cannot come from an outside source, it also cannot be destroyed by one. Our inner peace and joy are our own responsibility. It becomes very easy to blame our unhappiness on external conditions because they are right in front of us. However no person, no living arrangement, no job can take that from you. Sometimes, you have to strip yourself of everything you can blame, walk away from everything you are dissatisfied with, to realize any unhappiness is within you, and it follows you even when you quit the job, or get away from the negative people. That’s the bad news. The good news is, that means you are in full control of fixing it. And keep in mind... what treats you with the most cruelty is your teacher in compassion. What frustrates you the most is your teacher in patience. What stresses you the most is your teacher of inner peace. Coming out the other side is the most incredible feeling of invincibility. Don’t run. I’ve tried. It doesn’t work. Go where you have the greatest challenge to be peaceful and joyful. When you can make it there, you can make it anywhere. Find the darkest room and become the light. Like my dear friend Bob Segar says, keep running against the wind. .
Honestly, meditating🙏 has done SO much in helping me on this fitness journey. I would have caved and had chocolate🍫 and ice cream🍦 so many times if not for these guided sessions. And as for crystals💎, its definitely true that you get out of them what you put in! At the very least, they're a way to reconnect to nature🌱 and the earth🌍 - and at the most theyre a tool to help us find empowerment, enlightenment, and balance👐
Its not something i ever expected to become so obsessed about - but just goes to show you how getting out of your comfort zone and having an open mind💭 can lead you to such awesome new experiences!💃
Im sure some people will read this post and think "bleh, that is SO weird and eccentric"🙅😒...and thats fine, cuz that doesnt change for a second how i feel about it! Dont ever let your fears about what other people will say or think keep you from pursuing something that interests you and gets you excited. Just do YOU🤙 girl!! Wave your magical☄️ flag and never look back!! 😄🦄
I’ve always loved capturing and documenting. All throughout middle school and high school I was THAT person with a camera (who still knows what ‘film’ is?) and took pictures everyday (who remembers that?👀).
And much as I love capturing and sharing my experiences through social media, I have this ❤️/🙅🏻♀️ relationship with it. Sometimes I’m active and inspired to share, other times I go radio silent and don’t post for months bc I have waves where I feel uber introspective. .
I’m making big changes in my life (again 😬). You could say I’m ‘surrendering,’ leaning into my fears and taking a ‘risk’ (I’ll share more later). Orrrrrr you could say I’m leaning into my FAITH, TRUST, and belief in myself, which is the version that I’m choosing.
But what I’m trying to land is ... I wouldn’t have been able to get to that decision if I spent all of my free time on social media absorbing, witnessing, essentially downloading the opinions, perspectives, and lives of others. I got there because I amped up my meditation game and listened closely to the messages that I was uploading. The guidance and messages only comes through when I cut through the noise. .
Social media and technology brings so much to our fingertips, it’s amazing and also kind of insane how much we can access at any given moment. Bring awareness to how much of your own thoughts are actually you’re own. And one way to get there is to put the phone and distractions down.
And omg, look at how much greenery we’re missing out on in this photo 🤦🏻♀️😆. .
What do you do to tap into your inner guidance?

Do you like listening to music while you float?
The Aroze Alpha Float Room allows you to conveniently play songs off an SD Card. Whether it's meditation music, Mozart or Metallica, you can choose the perfect song to help you relax.
How many of you pretended to do magic when you were little?🔮😀🙋 Did you collect pretty stones from your class trips to museums, or the beach, or just playing around your backyards?💎 •
Well here i am, 20-something years later and reconnecting with that long lost part of me!!😁 If you had told me 6 months ago that i was going to be introduced to the world of crystals💎 and meditation🙏 i probably would have laughed and said "yeah RIGHT!", Lol. But all it took was an open mind and some curiosity and all of a sudden now i cant learn enough!!🙆
Im obviously no pro, but what i CAN say for certain is that working a simple 10 minutes of meditation into my daily rituals has actually helped me stick with my eating plans more than anything else ever has!!👐 My weak point is when i get home from work after eating well all day....its right about then that i start to go off the wagon for the night🙈🙊. But if i do my workout first and then a 10 minute meditation afterwards, it literally puts my brain in the most zen state and i dont even think about chocolate anymore.🚫🍫🚫
SO so excited to be diving into this book, its not at ALL what I expected and i actually cant put it down! Huge thanks and shout-out to Cristal & Emilee for getting me turned on to this!!😘💜💛💜

There's nothing stronger than the power of love. Leave some love notes for your big love and little loves this week. We are so inspired by love notes-it's an old practice we used to do and it was reignited through @sacredlivingmovement ! So simple, but powerful. Original art by @bookiedesign
BURN BABY BURNNNN! 🔥
Wait what!?!? This is my smudge stick! Introduced to me a while ago by one of my yoga teachers @laughinglotusny, it’s made of white sage and good vibes. You light it and burn it (I do silly dances around my body and my space) to clear bad energy. It has a calming smell and it’s good vibes are all the feels.
The smoke from dried sage actually changes the ionic composition of the air, and can have a direct effect on reducing our stress response.
Thank you to my husband, family and friends for giving me these wings to fly. You are there to celebrate me, my life and my birthday. More importantly, you are there in my moments of discomfort, unease, anxiety, or any negativity. Thank you for always bringing me up and teaching me to do the same for others.
I had a great birthday weekend and really enjoyed sharing my favorite space @laughinglotus with my family and friends through a great yoga class taught by @yanik.faylayev. Thank you all for surprising me with your willing presence, curious attitudes and abundant love.
