"Let your Mind Cross Over"
Lough Ash is small lesser known fishing lake nestling in the shadow of the 'Sperrins Mountains' in County Tyrone. There stands a neolithic ‘Wedge Tomb’ on that opposite hill dating back to 2500 BC. This proves that ancient man has been living around & fishing this lake for at least 4500 years! just like the fishermen that still visit here today. I could honestly say that the only thing that has changed here in all those millenia is this little set of wooden steps.
Whilst waiting for an overly bright sunset to soften down a little I wandered around the lake facing away from the bright sun. The light on this evening was absolutely beautiful & still some of the most perfect side light I've yet seen to date. This little wooden sty attracted my attention as the soft warm light was striking it perfectly.
These little steps seemed more symbolic towards my thoughts than practical as they only led from an open marshland into more open wildlands as far as the eye could see.
