Orange, messy hands and #plantlove planters in the works.
🌿🌱🍃🌱🌿 This is the new clay I’ve been using, so I’ve been having fun spontaneously decorating since these are kind of just “test” pieces anyway. It’s also really refreshing to just see where the moment takes me when decorating. 😊 it’s kind of peaceful to just relax and let whatever happens happen. ✨🙏🏼
You never know how they may turn out, but I think that’s kind of what makes it most exciting! ☺️🤗🌿🌱🌷
It's been a busy week but I have been working on these pretty little pendant necklaces...had great fun trying out different designs and pleased with how they have turned out...handsewn Japanese delica beads on Thai silver and gold vermeil tubes...
**Easter Basket Alert** I’m back from Haiti and I brought a bunch of the cutest blue jean whales you’ve ever seen! 🐋 Perfect for your kiddos’ Easter baskets, these whales were made by female artisans who are now out of a Haitian brothel and employed with dignity. 👊🏼 Shop is back open—> link in profile!
Day 17 (yesterday) of #marchmeetthemaker was customers and feedback. I'd dabbled on Etsy a few years ago but only really decided to give it a proper go in October last year. Unfortunately this meant that my only feedback on there was from 2014 and, as lovely as that review was, frankly it looked a bit rubbish! So this review from last month really made my day. Good feedback on something you've loved to make really is the best! ❤👍
Show me some ✨ stars ✨ in the comments if you’re ready to twinkle today!
Sunday mornings are the perfect time to take a minute to remember that YOU were born to sparkle! Each of us is a unique Masterpiece and just as beautiful as the stars in the sky! So get your twinkle on today y’all!
D A Y 18: Inspiration-
Today's prompt is 'inspiration' and at first I really struggled to think of an image to represent this because I take inspiration from all sorts of places! However I do have a tactic for when I'm feeling uninspired and struggling with artistic block- I have a day going round lots of museums and galleries. This was me back in November at the #NHM in London, which is where the inspiration for my current project 'extinct birds' came from! :)
This past week, I was told to move into a new office at work. I inherited a desk with lots of Mickey Mouse clippings decoupaged to the top. Not exactly my style. Rather than requesting a more typical desk, I decided to take it home and add my spin to it. (So nice to be back in my workshop.) One step closer to turning my office into Pirates of the Caribbean. Can’t wait to get it back into the office. #maker#workshop#piratesofthecaribbean
This week is an exciting week for my new little business.. not only is my Etsy shop up, running AND making sales, BUT I also now have my own website too! Huge thanks to my fabulous husband for his amazing #squarespace skills! (The link is in my linktree if you want to check it out!)

most everything we make in broomcraft, weaving, ceramics and woodcraft can be found at the Log House, right here on campus... open every day, come view our entire collection, as well great crafts from local artisans...Mona and her crew of student-staff would love ❤️ to see you (photo @meg__wilson )
Our next kit reveal is live! We're exploring the art of sashiko, the Japanese folk embroidery process.
It uses a completely different style of sewing to Western embroidery, loading a long needle with a number of stitches to get these distinctive geometric lines.
We normally source our kits in the UK but have gone to Japan for this one to bring you traditional sashiko needles & thread, with a beautiful open weave indigo fabric... so numbers are limited!
Come and join us! > http://craftiosity.co.uk/sneak-peek
Happy Saturday! Great new hat to add to my 🧢 collection from @iliketomakestuff — and thanks for the nice note! Thought it was appropriate to take my pic in the room I’m currently making a mess in. But tell me: how do you best organize for baseball caps in your closet? I have quite a few in rotation now. P.S. Had an awesome time last night hanging out with folks from the Atlanta Woodworking Show and @erinspainblog — we’ll both be in attendance tomorrow, so if you’re going, let me know.
Soaking up every single moment of the #makerssummit yesterday, and can't wait for another full day today! Plus any event that includes @jenibrittonbauer, @jengotch, pie & ice cream is basically a dream come true, right?!
@Makersco_ has put on SUCH an incredible event. It is amazing how much inspiration and excitement can come from meeting other creatives, hearing their stories, and encouraging one another to keep giving it our best! All the 🙌🏻💃🏼🎉 happening over here as we gear up for day two!
I am proud to say that while I encourage my customers to leave reviews of all sorts- Bugzie’s Crochet has only ever gotten full-5 star reviews! It bothers me when companies only encourage 5-star reviews, because I feel reviews should give a new customer an accurate feel of what to expect. Would it suck to get less than 5-stars? Yes, because it would mean I didn’t do my best. But it’s honest, too. As it is, I am very happy with my 14 5-star reviews, and all the wonderful things my customers have said about my business and my products-which I have chosen to display in this gorgeous word cloud! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ #craftiesrock#BugziesCreations#MakersgottaMake#MarchMeetTheMaker#customerreviews#smallbizlife
#MarchMeetTheMaker Day 17 - Customers & Feedback 👊
Oh how I love my Light Punkers ❤ I've had some lovely feedback so far this year - a few are shown above. It's great to be able to go above and beyond and offer something that big high street names can't - it's why most of my customers choose me to make their custom shade.
In this day and age it's much more likely that feedback is given only when something goes awry. I never fail to give positive feedback now as I know how much a difference it can make too. Not just to other prospective customers but what a way to make a makers day!! 😁
Big shout out to all my customers - Thank you from the bottom of my heart for helping me make Light Punk a success 😙😙 #smallbusiness#supportsmallbusinesses#etsyseller#etsyshop#lampshademaker#lightpunk
D A Y 17: Customers and Feedback-
Today's #meetthemaker prompt happens to coincide with my first ever Etsy sale!! Woo! Hopefully next year I can post a picture of all the excellent feedback I've received! :)
My next table is in progress. I’m using 2x4s glued together (two 12” wide pieces). I glued the 12” sections together but didn’t use any joining technique - just plain ole glue. Next, I used a router to create two 1” channels across the underside and 2” away from the end for concealment. I used bondo to secure 2 3/4” square steel rods. Once this dries, I’ll flip it over and get it ready to resin awesomeness. This table will be a crafting table for my wife. I plan to incorporate all the things she loves into the table. Hint: She likes the beach, Disney World, family vacations, New Orleans, Mardi Gras, and any type of family adventure. Thankfully, she is NOT materialistic and doesn’t care about having ‘stuff’. I have a lot of cool ideas to incorporate into this table and can’t wait to get it done for her. #pahjo_designs#crafttable#resin#epoxy
◆ Helper ◆ Day 16 #marchmeetthemaker
