I wanted zoodles, and I wanted pumpkin, and chicken, and salsa, but I wanted something creamy too . . . so that's what I had. Mixing tahini into any tomato-based sauce is AMAZING - be it salsa, or spaghetti bolognese. or ketchup. So creamy and sweet. I topped this weirdness with some hemp seeds.

-2 T almond flour
-1 T gluten free flour/regular flour -1/4 tsp baking soda
-1 tsp cocoa powder
-1 scoop of any protein powder
-1 T peanut butter
-4 T milk -A few drops of vanilla essence -1 large egg white
-8 drops of sweetener -Optional - chocolate chips 👌
Microwave on high for 60 seconds

Shared a lot on my stories today that wasn’t in line with my usual laughable antics and hyperactive pieces of knowledge. Eczema is something I’ve dealt with as long as I can remember- from mild to moderate to severe, I’ve tried all the cortisone creams, steroids, shots, hypoallergenic detergents/soaps, and sensitive skin body washes out there. And I can say with full certainty it was paleo that finally “cured” me. I’m by no means eczema free- I still get flare ups from time to time- but going paleo truly was my catalyst for change. I can’t say I have all the answers (and for that matter, absolutely no one can or should, especially when it comes to health), but I do know what you put in your body is directly reflected in your gut health, mental state, and skin condition.
For galentine’s day, @kaleintheclouds gave me this bracelet. It says “be you. love you. all ways, always.” I don’t even think she knew exactly how much I needed a daily reminder of that. To always love myself, even on the days like today when I’m covered in rashes, itching so hard it almost draws blood, and slathering aquaphor all over my body and face to try and calm this systemic inflammation.
Food is medicine. Food is powerful. And if you’re silently struggling w an issue not deemed “appropriate” for sharing on social media then reach OUT (I am always here to talk, in fact talking and listening are two of my favorite things to do). Everyone has a secret they hide from the rest of the world. Everyone has their own issue. And this is one of mine. You can’t compare your behind the scenes to other people’s highlight reels, especially on Instagram. I had a big lunch today of a Nando’s Mediterranean salad and chicken with my keto friend so didn’t feel hungry enough to have any dinner. I could have fasted but had this spinach instead. 0.5g carb.
