If your body is telling you it is overworked, both mentally or physically LISTEN! It is not going to ruin progress if you don’t go to the gym ONE day. This being making excuses don’t count, for me learning to distinguish between the excuses and my body telling me I shouldn’t, was the hardest part. I always thought, push through, it doesn’t matter if your tired BUT this is how injuries happen. Take care of yourself! 💕

2x16kg Jerks (23rpm). “Ladies, all my ladies 🎶 , louder now, help me out, come on, all my ladies, lets talk about...” 😱😉..why, regardless of the country I’m training in, it’s almost always me and all the men in the weight area!! 🤔 This gym is actually, without a doubt, the one I’ve seen the most women lifting weights in 🙌💪🏼😎 and I think that comes from the experience, encouragement and expertise of the owners (@thelyndsden ). In general, it astounds me to this day how many women still believe they will get bulky if they lift anything heavier than 3 lbs. When I was training Kettlebells regularly, I was competing with 2x16kg bells at a body weight between 58.5 - 62kg.. and I certainly didn’t look like what people refer to as “manly” (that’s also another topic). Please 🙏🏻 toss that nonsense into the pile of other health, fitness and nutrition myths 🙄 and go do your body a favour.. 🏋️💪🏼🔥🙌 Side note: anyone watching this video.. there are clear signs of CNS fatigue. You can see that I have difficulty balancing in lockout position (falling forward), so I changed my plan in this second training session today. I with short sets at a safe, un-rushed pace. 😊 Programming is important for success and daily adaptation to your physical and mental state are critical. Its easy to become obsessed with following a program to a “T” and panicking that you’re stepping back if you have to alter the plan. I honestly believe that adjusting your program when needed (versus trying to force it when there are signs you shouldn’t), is a step forward, not back. 🤓💪🏼🔥

Train to build muscle. You want to hold on to your muscle during your cut? Train to build muscle. Train each body part 2x per week. The first time, train for strength and mass to build dense Type II muscle fibers. The second time, train that muscle for size to hit those Type I muscle fibers. Eat in a caloric deficit with high protein. For Calories, BW (lbs) x 10-12 will work wonders. You want your protein to be at least 0.82g/lb (this is the minimum effective dose), but if you aim for 1g/lb per day, then you'll hit this minimum no problem.

Get your sleep (at least 7 hours per night) and if you're going to take supplements, creatine will help maintain your muscle and caffeine will help you burn more Calories per day.

Lastly, be consistent! Keep up with the plan and you'll be shredded.
