🍃Let the moment saturate your soul and stir your emotions.💫
The words have eluded me for quite some time. I don’t even know where to begin. Fountains Abbey was a dreamland. Before I left, my friend’s hubby worried I would get bored walking around for six hours by myself. While there, it occurred to me that I could spend days at this place and never lose interest. There were so many amazing things to see and experience. I was in awe at the scope and history of the property. These pictures are focused on the actual abbey, but there are a variety of edifices of different times and purposes. At one point, I took a path less traveled and got lost. Cutting through a pasture, hoping to find my way, I slogged through mud and soft grass. I ended up at an eight foot fence with little idea how to get over without walking for another hour or so in a different direction and doubling back. In my moment of frustration, a friendly couple approached. Relief flooded my heart, and they generously offered to help me over. Unfortunately I jumped down into a bush of nettles, but I realized it was all part of the adventure. When I found the abbey, brilliant rays glanced along stone towers, filling my heart with peace and gratitude.
There’s nothing I love more than books (except maybe museums dedicated to books) ✨ My literary tour of London is finally up on the blog! If you are going to London and like books, this tour is for you! Link in bio ❄️📚#femalehemingwaylondon#visitlondon
