Last time I saw her was in 2004, when I decided to pursue art, and she was off to take up International Law.
Fourteen years later, we met again, and while so much in our lives have changed, it gives comfort to know how easy it was to pick up where we left off.
It was really nice to see you again, @desdemonster !
P.S. No need for Valencia. You still look soooo young!
Today I sent in a picture for my sons yearbook. As I was looking through these I found myself super proud of where I’m at! You know I’m always working hard to get better but damn it you guys. I’m gonna give myself a little bit of credit to NOT being where I was or ever going back there! .
We have a tendency to see the negative in life. To think we’re not good enough. What we’re doing isn’t good enough. But you know what?! it is!! Yes I’m working hard to be better but I’ll NEVER ago back to where I was. .
No more cereal diets, over processed “healthy” frozen foods, starving myself just to binge eat 🤦🏾♀️, “drinking” my carbs 😂, seriously. If it was out there I was trying it. I tried everything except the healthy way 🤦🏾♀️ but not now. No more guessing games. No more up and downs. No more restrictions. Just a well balanced lifestyle 😁😋
Preparing & packing for our upcoming show in Washington, DC with @adabbiere and I was looking through photos to put on an invitation. One of my my most happy memories was a trip in Dominican Republic visiting Oscar Dea Renta. We were so incredibly goofy but he made us feel like we were the most fascinating women he’d ever met- a true gentleman in every sense. This photo made me stop and smile, and I’m grateful for the memories. DC dates are 4/10-12 💚with some big shoes to live up to and my reminder of why I’m doing what I love on the most stressful of days. #xoxo#oscargirls#onceinalifetime#funmemories#bestfriend#lookingback#facingforward
Taking y'all back to #memorylane when I was 14 and 18! 🤙
First top two (14) vs two bottom two (18).
Damn. Compare me now at 22 to these, I've changed A LOT. But I also like looking back at these photos as a reminder to how far I've come along and changed. They help me see how happier I am that I've made so much progress in the past few years from that age. These flash backs or throwbacks remind me to always fight for who you are, wanna be and do what makes you happy regardless of the opinions of others. Remember that this is YOUR life and that nobody can ever tell you who you can and can't be. That's not their decision, it's yours. Fighting to be who you truly are is always worth fighting for in the end. Your happiness matters more than the negative opinions of other people who don't know your story. Sometimes people around you won't understand your journey. They don't need to, it's not for them. This is your journey, own it and make every second count. ❤
I want to go on a strip club crawl with my friends and verbally judge the bad tippers and scuzzies tryna squeeze a free song out of the girls. I think it would be fun. This is the only type of public shaming I condone 👽
