More pictures from tonight ~ featuring some of the naturally coloured icing we made. And yes, we used red cabbage to get a blueish-green colour! If you boil red cabbage and add a little bit of baking soda it turns the water blue! #veganprotips
Tonight was our 2nd cooking class. We learned how to make "marbled" chocolate chip cookies, coconut walnut date balls, and cupcakes with naturally coloured icing! Special thanks to @steflennon6497 and @karennoromeroo for organizing this great event 🙌 if you couldn't make it out to tonight, hopefully you'll be able to make it to our future cooking classes! ~jjm
On this Mother’s Day, my thoughts have been with all those who have been forcibly impregnated and had their babies stolen from them in the first few days of their lives to be murdered for their skins; to be processed into “food”; or, worse still, as a waste product for being the wrong gender.
I cannot imagine the devastation these mothers must experience, especially when this reoccurs year on year.
I am deeply sorry that humanity practises such cruelty in subjecting billions of chickens, cows, goats, pigs and sheep all around the world to this but I am also HUGELY grateful that so many people have woken up to this and are making a stand against it.
The suffering is no longer going unnoticed and more people are continuing to recognise it and become vegan each day.
The time for change is now. Let’s put a stop to this once and for all! 🙏🏼⏳
If you are ever in uptown waterloo during the day, these fresh spring rolls from 7 Shores Cafe is a must try!!! I always get them everytime I go because nothing else on the menu even compares. Although the Cafe isnt completely vegan, they have vegan options that are well labelled.

What you’ll need:
3 tablespoons of pure organic Honey
1 tablespoon of Cinnamon powder
Mix the two ingredients together in a bowl and microwave for about 8-10 seconds, make sure it’s not too hot and apply directly to your face (don’t forget to cleanse your face before applying the mask) let is sit for 5-10 minutes, and wash off with warm water.
It’s very important after washing the mask off to apply astringent of your choice and moisturize!
Benefits of Cinnamon✨
Not only is it a great antioxidant, it will help dry out pimples and unclog congested pores, by removing excess oil from skin.
Benefits of Honey ✨
Honey is a great natural antibiotic that will help combat the bacteria causing acne. Also, it’s a great way to hydrate skin without causing excess oil buildup!
I recommend using any kind of facial mask at least once a week, of course depending on your skin type and needs. But masks are always relaxing and a great way to pamper yourself and look great! 💖
Cruelty free living, is more than just a belief it’s standing up to what is right. Cruelty free means your money isn’t going to a place where they harm animals just to sell their products for profit. When I buy / purchase product that is not tested on animals makes me feel like this company cares. Makes me feel like that their is hope, for the voiceless. This is my choice and I stand by it. I feel very strong about it and I support those who believe in the same thing. We are all one and we all deserve this life. Living a cruelty free life only means that I have a more natural selection where it comes from the earth made with love and not with tears that are not our own. Supporting a cruelty free brand helps our planet & the wildlife. This is why i do it. I seen the beauty in this earth.. ❤️ #wholesomehealthgiveaway#crueltyfree#giveaway#animalrights#livingcrueltyfree#wholesomehealth#wholesomehealthgiveaway .
Personally I believe that ‘live and let live’ means living without compromising another’s life. This journey allows me to wake up daily knowing that the I am not responsible for the death / cruelty to other sentient beings. It’s almost been 6 months and I’m truly content with life as it is now.
I haven’t suffered from flu or any other illnesses since giving up animal produce and my anxiety is completely under control.
So live and let (everyone & everything) live ❤️ #happylife#lifejourneys#vegan#veganlifestyle#veganlife#livingcrueltyfree#6monthrestart
Since getting this sweet boy, I have been trying to be more conscientious of the products I buy. Just to think that most makeup, skin care, and shampoo is tested on sweet rabbits, just like mine, breaks my heart. #livingcrueltyfree
I am sorry but I will keep posting all our meals because i can't believe exist a place like Ubud in Bali where a lot (A LOT) of restaurants are vegan-vegetarian 😱🙌🏼 this is paradise and I have to document all of this places!! 🐵🤗😍✅ #Bali#ubud#livingcrueltyfree#crueltyfree#vegan
Factory farming. One of the biggest issues towards the treatment of animals that we face in today’s society. Factory farms are large scale industrial operations that house thousands raised for food- such as chickens, turkeys, cows and pigs, and treat them with hormones and antibiotics to prevent disease and maximise their growth and food output. Factory farms are induced by society’s growing meat consumption. You can make a HUGE difference to the lives of these animals by going vegan.
"People who complain that the world is unfair or unjust because others are being given so much while they’re getting so little are creating that situation themselves, and only they can change it.
The world is fair; you receive what you give.
If you’re not receiving in abundance, it’s because you’re avoiding the things that those who receive so much are doing.”
