Got to work today and noticed someone had left something on my desk. At first I was irritated that someone would leave their garbage on my desk and walk away but then I realized what I thought was a crumpled up used napkin was actually a paper towel rose.
It was so simple. Just a little rose made of paper towel. But such a nice gesture on a Monday morning.
I was very happy I didn't just throw it away without really looking at it.
It just goes to show how sometimes you really need to stop and smell the roses (no pun intended) before moving on in your busy life.
My 88 year old neighbor excitedly knocked on my door at 8am on the first morning I was back from my visit to sis. He must have been watching and waiting for my car to appear back in my spot so he could give me a little valentine plant as a little thank you for the early valentine snacks I left on his door. I still smile over his sweet gesture every time I look at the plant. I just hope I can keep this beauty alive! #littlegesture#bigimpact#thefeels#dailypic

These angels are on their journey to America from this little corner of Southern England. The top two will each be a welcome gift for two new daughters in law next year. I really appreciate hearing where these little angels are heading and what messages they convey. A loving welcome to the family was touching to hear.
Never underestimate the power of a simple hello, a compliment or a R U OK?
Suffering with depression I know how simple these things can mean. While it won't fix everything the person is dealing with, having someone show they care and listen can make a big difference in someone's life.
This is why I too try to be this way to others. The simplest thing can mean so much. 💖
