River North, Chicago: Saint Patrick’s Day in Chicago would be one of the celebrations on my bucket list if I wasn’t lucky enough to live here. A few that I’ve checked off include Mardi Gras in New Orleans and Oktoberfest in Munich. Still on my list are Carnivale in South America, Holi in India, St. Patrick’s Day in Dublin, and running of the bulls in Spain. Any I should add?? There are moments when we stand in a room that houses all of our things but that has no space for us - the us we are when we unravel and let the baggage off our shoulders. // Coming Home, 🔗 in bio. 📸: @dylanspitz
Everyone comes home in different ways, but I’m convinced it takes losing ourselves at times. It takes surrendering, often and intentionally. Those coming home moments call us to humbly accept both the notion that we were lost in the first place and the reality that we’re human and imperfect and yet, still worthy of safe, loving places to be ourselves. The acceptance of how our faults don’t impact our worthiness also helps define that being worthy of something in no way makes us entitled to it. .
The best, safest homes are earned by virtue of showing up, of respecting the space, of sitting in gratitude for the four walls, the full hearts, the warm embraces that are born there. We take home for granted just as often as we take our loved ones for granted. To walk away from them, walk back expecting them to be the same, and realizing that they are more changed than we could have ever imagined — it’s necessary and humbling. It prompts intentionality in the steps we decide to take forward in building homes that make sense for us. It reminds us that home is never a place, instead it’s our body, our hearts, and our minds, and the people we choose to share the holy trinity of us with.
www.miaspingola.com Alright folks. Website is live. One of those things I’ve been putting off, but needed to be done. Came here for the National Museum of Catalan, but enjoyed this view right outside #Barcelona
My Spain photos are finally coming to an end. Are you sick of them yet? 😏 People that know me probably wonder why I am still posting about it when I went to Spain months ago. But I post on this account for the general public and want to consistently update. I may instantly post during my trips but also continue to post after my trips, of what my itinerary was, where I ate, and helpful tips. There's just too much I want to share! Much easier to post short captions on IG than write a full blog post.
Also, my SE Asia trip is coming up in less than a month!!! New content coming soon ❤ I am still working on my itinerary but I plan on sharing how I plan a trip on my stories soon 😉
Spring has sprung 🐣🌱 (even if we're still getting getting hit with snow) which means...
S P R I N G C L E A N I N G!
Spent my snow day cleaning, organizing, & working on a few projects. 📚 I love to do a deep clean to get rid of the extra junk that has accumulated over time. Now I feel ready to tackle a few projects and plan for some new adventures. 🗺 •
What about you guys?! Do you feel refreshed after a good cleaning?😊
throwback to my first ever switzerland trip earlier this winter - i was in the throes of extreme nerve pain from an injury to my hand and neck, so i didn't get to venture far from my hotel! hoping to go back this summer and see more of this magical place... in the meantime, still dressing like it's winter here in california (it's been raining non-stop for weeks!) 🙄 #tbt#basel
Standing at the lowest point on earth is a pretty epic feeling 🐫 this was right before floating on water with 34% of salinity and smearing mud all over myself 🙊 life 400m below the sea level is hella fun ❤️ #deadsea#salty#israel
Blurry pics from Seattle a couple years ago. I took this picture while I was walking (why its blurry) because I didn’t want to stray from my group, and although it may not be the best “quality”, I still love it because it reminds me of all the memories I made in that beautiful city. Need to go back soon! 🌷
SWIPE ➡️ to see my Instagram post on this day one year ago, & even two years ago... Cringe-worthy right??
So what’s my point about this? Well, I said I wanted to focus on celebrating our achievements this week, & what better way to do that than taking a look back on our own @instagram gallery.
Although I complain a lot about IG & the big bad “algorithm”, this platform has actually changed my life. Sounds cheesy I know, but seriously. The fact that we can build our own community, collaborate with & meet people from around the world, & get PAID to create content for brands we love or sponsorships with hotels on a FREE platform, is actually mind blowing.
But the biggest way it’s changed my life is that it’s helped me become a better photographer, content creator, & writer.
It can be really hard to see the progress you’ve made on a day to day basis, which is why we often don’t give ourselves enough credit when we are deep in the trenches or climbing that mountain towards our goals.
But take a step back & look at the bigger picture. Check out your own photos from 1 year, 2 years, even 3 years ago. How much have you learned & grown since then?
And the best part is, I know there’s an infinite amount of space to continue learning & growing! Although I can see how far I’ve come from just one year ago, I know there’s so much further I can go. And l know it’s the same for you, too.
So I challenge you all to do the same. Scroll through your own feed & admire how much you’ve grown!
P.S. - THANK YOU again for all the birthday wishes yesterday!! 😭💖 I haven’t replied back to everyone yet, but just know I appreciate the love & support so SO much! ❤️❤️❤️
I will be waiting for you on the other side of the frozen pines 🎶
Is anyone else as big of @lordhuron fans as us?! We are so excited to see them in a few weeks and this photo from Denver has us feeling all the frozen pines vibes!
On another note, we’re still not over winter and are so excited to share our Denver getaway guide next week and all our Montreal & Quebec content with you guys! Stay tuned! ::::
When I first started my job as a flight attendant, I was forced to move out to Phoenix, Arizona (I had lived my whole life in Orlando, Florida). I was really optimistic and excited to start my life in a totally new place. When I first started though, I had a really hard time making friends. I was so used to just having all my friends in the same city. I would call my mom crying because I felt so lonely. My family even suggested that I move back home... and I considered it, but I stuck it out. It took about a year but I met friends that I know I’ll have for life. I learned that if you stick with something and have patience, things will eventually fall into place. I’m glad I didn’t run back to Florida because now I’m loving life on the west coast! @fly_with_jenna
Back in Berlin 🙌🏼
(Talmud, babylonische Gefangenschaft)
ACHTE AUF DEINE GEDANKEN DEN SIE WERDEN ZU WORTE.
ACHTE AUF DEINE WORTE DEN SIE WERDEN ZU HANDLUNGEN.
ACHTE AUF DEINE HANDLUNGEN DEN SIE WERDEN ZU GEWOHNHEITEN.
ACHTE AUF DEINE GEWOHNHEITEN DEN SIE WERDEN ZU DEINEM CHARAKTER.
EVERYTHING YOU CAN IMAGINE IS REAL.
Wie steht ihr dazu glaubt ihr Gedanken werden zu Relität?
Und wenn ja habt ihr damit schon mal Erfahrungen gemacht?
Ich bin gespannt auf eure Kommentare.
Liebe Grüße hab euch lieb.
Eure Christina x3
