In love with this country and the beautiful home and land my Grandma and Grandpa worked their tail ends off by themselves to create. Truly a representation of the American Dream and how hard work can do anything!
Anyone else feeling super lazy this week and it’s only Tuesday? 😏
I’ve got a long week ahead with work and prepping for my parents 50th anniversary party. 50 years! How rad is that!? I’m just now doing my meal prep, better late than never I guess. I most need a kick in the ass to get moving. <<#lazydays #adultingishard
After leaving my stable employment at the gym that I started at, I was off to start my own company and contract from a very cool, more boutique style gym, Fitness 101. The atmosphere was warm and I got to continue to have amazing relationships with my clients. My clients mean the world to me, and they have always been the reason why I love what I do. ⠀
With PT I always felt like the actual gym part was the easiest, it was the mindset/ life coaching aspect that was the hardest for clients to overcome. The more I got into my coaching, the more this was proven to me. I would have coaching clients have a phone call 1x week and get INSANE results with their fitness, because their mindset now allowed them to be successful.⠀
When I went to the new gym I thought it was going to be a slow start, but that wasn’t the case. I got full faster than I thought. This was great, but it meant that I had less time for my business. ⠀
When I thought about it, I knew that my business was where my heart was. Every single thing that I do as an in person PT I was doing with L.R., only I was doing it better because I was ensuring that the clients were set up for success: Mindset phone calls and nutrition are mandatory, but as a contracted PT these things are optional. ⠀
In my years as a trainer, I have realized many things, and the more I thought about it, there are some major flaws/disempowering factors for clients with in person training. Once again, my heart broke. All I want to do in is empower people, yet I was engaging in part of the bigger problem.
You can’t go all in on 2 different things at the same time. You are splitting your time, effort and energy in some way…. This is why today was my last day as an in person Personal Trainer. I am now a retired in person PT, and I’m going all in with coaching. ⠀
Tomorrow I am going to share with you my reasons why PT is a great option for some of you, but I am also going to share how you may not even realize how in person training is holding you back from your true potential.
