I've been thinking for some time. About TRUST. How can I trust in ANYTHING if I don't even trust my own BODY? Isn't that impossible?

Almond Mylk #almondmilk (Credit: Medical Medium Blog) this is an alternative to dairy milk - this tasty homemade mylk is simple, quick, and floods your body with the nourishment it craves.
1 cup of almond butter
4 cups of cold water
1/4 tsp vanilla

Celery juice. I don’t like the taste, but I am drinking it almost every morning on an empty stomach to keep my digestion healthy. Did you know that many people actually don’t produce enough stomach acid and that that’s the cause of acid reflux, NOT that you have too much. Today I celebrate my anniversary.
Flashback to two years ago:
I had been sick for almost a month prior to my wedding. Congestion, coughing, fevers, extreme fatigue, mood swings, digestion issues, etc.
I had been in and out of urgent care several times, taken rounds of antibiotics and was taking a bottle of DayQuil with a straw to work just to make it through my days. Three days before my wedding, I went to urgent care pleading with the doctor to literally do anything he could to get me better before my wedding day. I sat there and did two rounds of nebulizer treatments and left with yet another round of the z pack.
My wedding was beautiful. Literally so magical and yet underneath the makeup and beautiful lace gown, my body was screaming and I was in so much discomfort. The adrenaline alone got me through.
By the time the holidays rolled around, those symptoms were long forgotten and I continued about my daily life. We wanted to try for a baby and every month felt like a let down when I got that big minus sign or a flat out “no” blinking on the screen. I had lost my moon cycle for almost 8 months at this point, blaming birth control to be the culprit but still hoping to get pregnant. My stomach was increasingly growing though, and I had no idea why. I was always always bloated and being a petite person it was very noticeable.
My mood swings were still there and I generally just felt like crap all the time. My fatigue took over. I stopped going to the gym, stopped doing things at home, generally just felt like I didn’t give a shit about anything anymore.
I went for an annual exam and got my labs done. My thyroid was off, testosterone high, and I stopped ovulating and was diagnosed with PCOS. I was offered thyroid medication and respectfully declined because at this point I had just about lost all faith in doctors.
Scrolling through Instagram one day, I came across a sponsored ad from @medicalmedium and it sparked some interest. I had read as many posts as I could and googled as much info as I could to see what it was all about. ⬇️⬇️continued below....

Being ill can certainly take its toll on the body physically. This can easily be seen visually but what is often over looked is how the heart and soul can be beaten as well.
Losing my ability to work, to exercise, to financially support myself, to do daily errands had a significant impact on my self esteem. I began to lose sight of who I really was. I no longer knew that answer and I no longer had any goals. Everything disappeared. But over time, I have been able to regain some self confidence and be okay with closing that chapter. I am still in the process of learning who this new healthier person is and am beginning to be able to set goals once again knowing that my health will allow me to achieve them.
I’m not a 100% better and still experience setbacks which can sometimes make me a little sad as it reminds me of my current limitations. With that being said I do understand they are temporary and in time it will fade away.
I decided to share this so you can see the unfiltered side of my reality. The bottom line is that I have many good days but every now and then I have some not so good ones. How do I deal with it, you may ask? Well.... I recognize it, allow myself to feel it, and then I choose to release it. This is a method I’ve learned from @gabbybernstein. It is the best loving and kind way I have found to work through feelings instead of suppressing them. I’m hoping this choice I’ve made to be this open will help give you the loving support you may need❤️

TASTY TUESDAY 😍 (Recipe Below) | Delicious Mini Pitaya Cheesecake thanks to @alltheworldisgreen @a.healthy.nut 💖 ⭐️ INGREDIENTS: * Crust: 100 g Roasted Almonds, 50 g Cashews, 2 tbsp Coconut Oil, 1-2 tbsp Agave * Filling: 200 g Cashews (previously soaked for minimum 4 hours) 100 g Coconut Cream, Thickened coconut cream from a can of full-fat coconut milk; Juice of 1/2 lemon; 3-4 tbsp Agave, 3-4 tsp Pitaya Powder ⭐️ METHOD:
* Crust: Line the base of a 16 cm spring form cake tin with baking paper. Place cashews & almonds in a food processor & process until they are finely ground.
Add coconut oil & agave nectar. Process until mixture sticks together. Adjust sweetness.
Once it’s all combined, press the crust mixture into the cake tin, making sure you press it out evenly. Place it in the fridge. * Filling: Drain cashews & place them in a blender. Add coconut cream, lemon juice, agave & pitaya powder. Blend on high speed until mixture becomes creamy.
Pour the filling on top of the crust. Place the cake in the freezer to set for at least couple of hours. Before serving drizzle with white chocolate and top it with fresh or frozen berries.

Oh there is just something about sweet strawberries that make them so hard to resist. Especially when you are walking through a farmer’s market and you smell it’s mouth watering sugary fragrance. It’s like you can’t pass it without picking up some ruby red treats.
Strawberries are rich in antioxidants, which boosts their ability to rebuild, repair, and rejuvenate. They are an anti-inflammatory food due to its high levels of phenols. These beauties are loaded with vitamin C which can help boost the immune system. Trying to lose a little weight? Have some strawberries for a snack as they are low in calories but super nutritious.
One of my favorite ways to eat them is with a little bit of whipped cream. Lol... of course I made my own vegan version of it. It’s so easy to make. Put a can of organic coconut milk in the fridge. Leave it in there overnight or at least a good 5 hours. Open the can and you notice that the fat separated from the water, leaving this rich cream on the top. Scoop all of it out being careful not to scoop any of the water below. Add some maple syrup for taste and VOLIÀ....Coconut Whipped Cream!
Be aware that this has a ton of fat so this ain’t the healthiest snack for those looking to be on a low fat diet. But as a treat every so often...it can be super enjoyable, super nutritious, with little to no setbacks to your health. Oh and not to mention it’s absolutely delicious 😋
