LEG PRESS & WALKING LUNGES SUPERSET
This effective lower body combo builds muscle, challenges your conditioning, and burns fat. This combination is extremely effective for blasting the quads and glutes. And if your main goal is fat loss, you'll find that a lighter version of this superset is incredibly beneficial due to the metabolic demands of stimulating such a large amount of muscle mass at once. In other words, you're gonna really get out of breath, but it'll be worth it!
WHY ITS SO EFFECTIVE- This leg press/lunge superset works by combining two effective compound exercises for the lower body. By combining the two exercises, your quads will be maximally stimulated to the point of momentary muscular failure, thus leading to adaptive benefits. Although these exercises are quad dominant, they still hit the glutes quite well.
HOW TO DO IT- This is a superset, meaning you go from leg press to lunges with little to no rest between. With the leg press, use a weight in the 8-12 rep range. For the walking lunge, go with a weight that puts you in the 8-12 rep range – as in 8 to 12 steps with each leg. If you're going for more of a conditioning/endurance effect, go up to your 20 reps.
4 sets of each superset is all you need for this to be effective. Give it a shot!
Issa sad Saturday because my spring break is coming to a close😭😒
HONESTLY half happy though bc my bodys really feelin the effects of all the extra sodium
Although I've mostly eaten healthy during my break, I have gone out to eat a few times and my body is still catching up. The sodium in restaurant food is actually terrifying. Even healthier options like salads and grilled chicken are packed with sodium. For one, chicken already has sodium without any added salt, but with the added salt, seasonings and marinades, things can get out outtttta control
I actually wrote an entire article on restaurant salads that are worse than McDonald's meals on my blog if ya wanna check it out.
❌The cedar grilled lemon chicken from Applebee's has as much sodium as 7 large fries at McDonald's, for example🙃❌
I'm not saying don't go out to eat ever, but just be aware of these factors! Drink a lot of water before during and after you go out to eat, and never be afraid to ask for no salt in your meals!
Happy Saturday humans 👋🏼👋🏼❤️
Wooo the booty is growing finally!! Sure the scale might be going up but it's supposed to! I know I have to gain some weight to add quality size to my body. The only struggle is that it's summer 🐳 oh whale.. Had a really great leg day to kick off St. Patrick's day 🍀
