Having an invisible condition is not ease, I must admit.
If you were to ask me what is typical day for me, what I would say? 'Pretty much the same as anyone else. I don't let my disease rule me, I rule the disease'. But just because I 'don't look sick,' doesn't mean I'm not. We always try to look strong and hide our insecurities and sad moments in social media but I think it’s important to share them too. That is what makes us human.
Most times, around family or friends, I have to fake a smile, move on with my day, hold back the tears and pretend I am okay, when in reality I have barely made it through the day. I can’t count the amount of times I have been with patients at the ER, in excruciating pain, biting my lip and smiling through until the cramps and stabbing sensations in my abdomen pass. I can’t count the amount of times that I have woken up in the middle of the night feeling like someone was cutting my abdomen in half. An invisible illness doesn’t show the friendships I’ve lost because I’ve had to back out of plans and events. It doesn’t show how hard it is to maintain a relationship with someone.
Yes, it is hard. Sometimes harder than I would like to admit. And this week has been especially hard.
It’s okay to feel weak and to have your moments of self pity. It is okay. But it is also acceptable to know that feeling sorry for yourself will get you nowhere. No, I cannot count how many times in my life I have doubted myself and been knocked down but I can tell you that the more I wonder, the more I grow ❤️
I am not a label, nor a diagnosis and I could never be defined by single word. I am that surprise box that you never know what has inside ✌️

Incline Dumbbell Curls by @luisruribe.
An amazing exercise for building your biceps. With standing Bicep curls or any curls where your body is completely vertical, you don’t get the benefit of continuous tension on the bicep throughout the whole motion. 💪🏽At the top and bottom of the reps where the dumbbell is perpendicular to the floor, there is no tension and your arm is essentially taking a break. 🔥To turn it up a notch we sit at an incline and this introduces a natural angle so that even at the top of the rep, there is still tension focused on the bicep. ➡️Tag a friend who could use this and try this for your next arm day.⬅️ #armworkout#armday#leanbulk#shredzarmy#olympia#shredz#fatburner#muscletech#optimumnutrition#luisuribefitness
Weekly Physique update. If you want to build muscle follow these guidelines.... If you have any questions dm me.
What has really helped me to stay lean while adding a lot of muscle each week is:
1. Focus on post workout. Make sure your giving you body what it needs in the post workout setting. I only use the best possible option. What I do is use a Pure Dexanhydrous Glucose with a rapid assimilation protein. I use 1st Phorm ignition and Phormula One because there is nothing in the market that will me the same results.
2. Make sure your getting a complete protein source with every meal.
3. Spread your meals out throughout the day to keep your body anabolic all day. When your body is anabolic your body burns fat and builds muscle.
4. Don’t over train. You don’t want to burn more calories that your taking in. It is very expensive for the body to build muscle. So make sure you’re at a surplus of calories.
5. Take rest days. Your body doesn’t build muscle in the gym it builds muscle when you repair that muscle tissue. So get your rest in.
This picture of me and @alan_goh_58 is a good example of bulk vs cut.
Alot of people get demotivated when bulking because of the body fat you put on but it's all part of the process.
Push through it and remember that after the bulk, when it's time to cut, you're gonna be lean AND huge.
AB Finisher ☠️ After a solid workout, I love finishing off with burning out my abs and working up a sweat. The goal here is Growing ab muscles with a pull down crunch and burning body fat all around with a quick side to side step ups. •••
20 Pulldown Crunches - keep spine and neck neutral. Crunch at the bottom. Hold for 2 secs then release.
30 sec side to side step ups- stay low as you move side to side. Be quick! To work up the sweat 💦•••
Repeat Circuit 4xs
This is a killer! But will do wonders 💕💪🏽💪🏽 #abs#abworkout#flattummy
*WHATS THE PROBLEM*
To me this is more than just another social media page for me. I want it to be a movement, something people believe in and trust, something that people can stand behind, rely on and trust. I see a big problem in the fitness industry with Instagram being a huge part of that problem.
Fitness is supposed to be something that people WANT to do and shouldn’t feel intimidated by. For me it gives me a sense of hope, confidence, it clears my mind and I look at it as therapy.
I look at the Instagram fitness world as a false sense of reality, here’s why.
It’s great that it’s used as a tool for people to make money with and for someone to market themselves with, I think it’s a power source and should be utilized for those two things but the money should never be the MAIN source of motivation. When Money becomes the main driving force, it takes away your genuity.
But I also feel a lot of these insta famous fit people fail to show the real and sustainable side of things which discourages people, makes them feel they have to hit a certain standard to be accepted in the fitness community.
We want to take those feelings away from YOU and show you what we feel is the sustainable, healthy, and realistic way of fucking up your goals 💪🏼
