Zero Carb Experiment - Day 15
Half way there!
Was a little concerned that it would suck to be me this morning because I was still sporting some pretty crazy energy before bed last night, but I woke up well rested. Yay me!
I ate a good chunk of food this am and it kept me going until about 7pm. I think it is safe to say that eating the bulk of my food in the a.m. works best for me. This way may not apply to you, but it just goes to show that our bodies are all different and so are their individual needs, so don't be scared to try something different if things aren't working right....even if what you are doing appears to work perfectly for another.
I stopped getting all these hormonal type symptoms. Still retaining some water, but nowhere near as squishy feeling.
Hacked our meal delivery for two tonight! This was a Greek Horiatiki that arrived complimentary of my sister. Swapped the za’atar naan for my portion with Flat Our Light reduces carb toasted flatbread with six net carbs. Gave most of the chickpeas to my boyfriend to cut down too. Lots of olive oil to boost the fat content and ended the day at a net 45 carbs. Not bad for a higher carb day. Will probably make this again but maybe reduce the hummus to lower the carbs. It’s even great on its own with just the marinated feta and veggies!
Just a few pictures from my birthday today!! 😃🎉 Cesar and I went for a walk on the trail in town then went to the gym (I did about 6.5 miles today!), we swung into the Jerky Outlet and grabbed some sugar free jerky then picked up lunch from Hwy 55 for lunch on our way home. After we ate we got got cleaned up and went to the movies to see Game Night (pretty funny movie for anyone who’s wondering), then we killed some time in Ross and Burlington before meeting my mom and dad for dinner. @julzclark met up with us while we were at Burlington to give me the most adorable and thoughtful gift basket for my birthday! 😃 From our conversations during our little “Keto baking session” a couple of weeks ago, she learned that I really needed a new/better food scale and that I also love silicone kitchen utensils; thank you SO much for my basket of goodies Julie!! 😊💕 Not pictured is my birthday gift from Cesar - he got me a new set of tires yesterday for my car, those things were SUPER duper bald!! 😳😬 *****QUESTION: for those of you who have an #AppleWatch , do you have any issues with the distance it tracks for your indoor walls/runs...? I’ve tracked a couple of outdoor activities with it so it should be calibrated by now, yet it’s wayyy off!! My Indoor Walk was 3.0 miles via the treadmill, yet my watch logged it at 2.68 miles. I know that even when properly calibrated there will be a slight difference between what the watch tracks using your personal metrics vs the treadmill belt’s rotations, but that’s a huge difference so something is definitely not right... 😕🤔 #birthday .

We were running some errands tonight and I decided I didn’t want to cook so this was the result!! You’ll never believe it but we were Whole Foods Virgins before one hour ago 😂
We happened to be right next to a Whole Foods so we stopped to grab a rotisserie chicken to avoid cooking! Threw some tomatoes with mozzarella + basil + olive oil on the side and called it good 😍 simple and yummy. .
I know it doesn’t look like much but I am STUFFED after this (and i didn’t even finish the tomatoes)! Plus we have chicken leftovers so we are set for tomorrow too 🙌🏻 have a great Friday evening everyone!!
This is what happens when you eat like a asshole for a month. First time I let my food addiction back full force. I wanted to stop but I just couldn't. I ate whatever I wanted whenever I wanted. Even when I was full I was eating. Even when I got super sick I didn't learn my lesson. I came back for more and more. Sounds horrible right? Life of an addict. I'm barely day two of no binging and day two of eating 100% keto. It's fucking hard I'm not gonna lie. I have to get my mind right all over again. I have to train myself all over again. I have to give myself you a bad bitch pep talks. Man the fuck up you don't need that shit pep talks. And yes that's how I talk to myself I have a horrible potty mouth. Like yesterday was my first day "clean" per say and I went and got babe fast food per his request and it was late night I'm hungry as fuck and I have it all planned out double quarter pounder meal large with a caramel frappe and a mcchicken. I get to the order window and I'm like if I don't start today and have a full day Imma keep messing up and I'm gonna be right where I started well that's not happening so I said nevermind and only ordered his food. I can't keep putting it off until tomorrow. I have to make the best of today for tomorrow is not promised. I've done it before I can do it again.

À esquerda, eu estava péssima por dentro, num ciclo vicioso de comer muito, sentir culpa e comer mais ainda por estar culpada... E meu corpo pesado só refletia essa confusão de sensações.
À direita sou eu mais segura, mais confiante, aprendendo a me amar e me aceitar plenamente, e a buscar fazer o meu melhor, sem desespero e com constância.
Quando comecei a olhar de verdade pra mim e perceber que eu não era vítima nem coitadinha e notei o potencial que eu tinha em reverter a obesidade, vesti a camisa da coragem e fui!
Ainda não cheguei onde eu quero... Tem bastante chão... Mas aprendi a me apaixonar pelo percurso, porque é caindo e levantando que eu me fortaleço, me conheço e me preparo para próxima etapa!
Se cuide... É o maior ato de amor que pode ter por você mesmo!
