Honestly this was the main reason I started this Instagram. Posting your failures and successes is hard. It is hard to be open and vulnerable. But knowing you may have helped one person not give up is all worth it!
I've been meaning to post this....may be a good tool for some of you, as well. This list is on the side of my refrigerator. It's high fat foods that I can grab at any time, pretty much 'open season'. They're all great macros and are perfect reminders of what's a 'good choice'....just be careful with the higher protein items. Keto vs. carbs. It’s 98% easier for me to control my carb cravings while I’m in ketosis (simply because staying in a fat-burning state is a great incentive). Even when I eat cleaner carbs I find I hold more water, I don’t feel NEARLY as good, and my bowels slow down significantly. 🤷🏻♀️ Carb days are fun because I get to eat things I haven’t had for a few weeks and my muscles swell up more while I’m working out👌🏼, but it always reminds me how much better I feel in ketosis!
Post spin got me hunnnngggrrryyy so eating breakfast for the first time in months. Made a quick scramble with 2 turkey pepperoni, mushrooms, onion, 3 eggs and a sprinkle of cheddar. Topped with some pico and franks.
🌱Stevia (stevia rebaudiana) is the source of plant sweeteners (Steviol glycosides) that are commonly used as a natural, 0 calorie alternative to sugar. .
🌱As opposed to common artificial sweeteners (sucralose, etc..), stevia is naturally occurring and has not been shown to have the same side effects. .
📈📉Although more research needs to be done on the long term effects of stevia consumption, much of the research on stevia has shown positive effects on health and it looks very promising as a natural alternative to sugar.
🙋♂️Personally, I occasionally use stevia to add sweetness to desserts. One of my favorite dessert/sweet recipes that I may add stevia to are the dark chocolate covered almonds/walnut bark (recipe is in a previous post!)

I wish someone could of told that 15 year old girl on the left that comforting with food was not the answer. Here I am about to be 32 this year and I still struggle with food. I always will. But it’s one day at a time y’all. I have to make the right choices daily. Some days are better then others of course. I can go weeks doing so well then just have a weekend that I eat whatever I want. And that’s one thing I want to truly work on. This whole self sabotage thing. Yes I have lost over 70lbs but damn it those pounds were hard. I worked my butt off for those pounds. It could of been more if I didn’t do this back and forth with my eating. I have to get focused and stay focused! It’s a mind matter more then anything! We have to make up in our mind that FOOD will not control our happiness! No more rewarding with food. No more comforting with food. Enjoy some things in moderation but right now I need to cut all those things out and remain focused! I want to stay strictly Keto! I will weigh in then I won’t weigh again until the end of March! After reintroducing soy (the good healthy non-gmo kind) back into my diet I'm not having any bad symptoms. Yay! I'll still be limiting to liquid, and processed forms for digestive ease, but can now enjoy tofu, miso, and tamari freely!
