One day you won’t be able to carry it anymore. The anger. The criticism. The frustration. And you will cry, sweet thing, you will feel sadness. For your heart. For your body. For your soul. For what you put her through. Every time you gave in to their demands, disregarding your own. Every time you took steps towards their desires, as if you were alive for them, moving mountains for them. Chasing. Them. Every time you chose self-destruction and self-sabotage because circumstances seemed like reason enough. At the time. You let everyone take the parts of your heart you wanted to keep safe. You let yourself give your love away, for nothing, like it was nothing. You turned up their voices. You muted yours. You shut her out. But one day she will twist your insides and drain your energy down to the last breath, until finally, finally, she grinds your teeth hard enough for you to wake the fuck up. Time will catch up with you, and you’ll want it back. Because that thing you can’t carry anymore, darling girl, is other people. You cannot carry them, live for them, breathe for them, for another day of your life. Take it back. Your power. Your potential. Your life force. Move mountains for yourself. Love yourself. You are nothing, but power. Take it back. And this time, you will hold yourself in deep compassion, and say, ‘Dear heart, I’ll never give you up again.’ —The redirection of life. #seekerpoetry#seeker
"I had just finished training as an Army musician and been posted to my first band. When I'm nervous I lose my appetite, so I hadn't eaten much before my first engagement, which involved standing on a parade square for about an hour and a half. Needless to say, I blacked out and one of the other musicians saw me swaying and caught me and my saxophone before I fell. It took three men to carry me off the square, and the first person I saw when I came around was the musician who caught me. We've been together 10 years now and married for eight!"

~*~ Everyone has his story, mine is this: a fantastic family.
Today, however, it is Father's Day.
And mine, I remember him: every moment off dedicated to his family.
Happy feast to all the fathers and I do not want to forget my husband, also his father very tender, attentive and always present for his beloved children Ettore and Sebastiano. ••••••••••••••
On the Metro ride home one night, I made eye contact with a gorgeous young woman on the platform. I went back to my phone and didn't think much of it, but she came and sat next to me. Nervous, I didn't say anything. After several stops, she asked if the train was going to a certain stop. I gave her a quick, 'Yeah, the sign is over there,' trying to avoid being the creepy passenger that's more interested in the person than providing directions. She was persistent and kept asking questions. I gave her my business card before I got off the train and she pointed out that my cell phone number wasn't on it. We went out the next night and had a great conversation. We've been dating ever since.

Happy Monday, Lovely! 💕
In case no one has told you lately...YOU are AWESOME! You are amazing and smart and good and this world is lucky to have you! ✨
So often, I think our days run together and the to-do lists grow and the chaos of life takes over and we forget to take a moment to remind ourselves just how fabulous we are. Well here is your reminder! I am not letting your day go on a second longer without telling you that you deserve to take time today (and every day) to spread some of that love you are always giving to others, to yourself.
Do yourself a favour and mindfully practice self-care this week, dear friends. Whether it is through proper sleep 😴 , eating healthier 🥦🍎🍌, exercising 🏋🏽♂️, getting your nails done 💅🏼or meeting friends for a drink 🥂...have regard for your own well-being and happiness! Set boundaries for yourself so that you aren’t getting burnt out and so that you can thrive in the activities you do participate in 🧘🏻♀️. Build yourself a community of people that support you and want to see you succeed 🏅. Forgive yourself easily and accept yourself just the way you are, right now 👌🏼. You are incredible and this world needs you to love yourself so you can nourish and care for those round you.
I hope your Monday is short, your coffee is strong & that this week is kind to you!
Take a month off
take a year off
take the time
you’re completely convinced
that you know
who you are
is then worth pursuing,
and you will find fulfillment
everywhere you turn.
Good morning, from my part of the planet. ⭐️ If you’re going through a time of doubt, you’ve pressed pause on your life, or you’re just trying to figure yourself out, look to your last mistake. Confront that. There’s hard truths to be learnt there. That’s what your inner self is trying to tell you. We are our own worst enemies, I think that’s how the saying goes. So, learn from yourself, that’s where your most important lessons are to be found. #seekerpoetry#seeker
