Made thee most delicious curry, totally off the cuff, inspired by my last post. Can of coconut milk, bag of shrimp, can of bamboo shoots, can of water chestnuts, cabbage, a sliced jalapeño, grated ginger, curry powder, cilantro. Just threw it all in the pot, bam! #curry#cookingoffthecuff#yum
Lunch. Finally got around to making @chefpeteevans pizza base in his Family Foods book, and boy was it good. Just wondering why I didn't get onto it sooner. 🤔

Sautéed kale, zucchini and spring onion in coconut oil and turmeric. Topped with an egg, rocket and a light sprinkle of S+P and chilli flakes 🌱🌱🌱 This literally took 5 minutes to make 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 I’m starting Week 7 on the @jshealth Program tomorrow which is focusing on hormones, healthy habits & rituals 🙏🏻 I have made some huge progress on the Program that I’m so proud of 👏🏻 I’ve lost a few kilos, I’m leaner and stronger and have bedded down some rituals that I love and now are a part of my life!!!

Same same but different 💁🏻♀️🥙 Meal times are an important step in developing a healthy relationship with food and kids can only learn to build healthy behaviours when they have them modelled to copy. That’s why as often as we can Jason and I will sit and eat our food at the same time as Ashy Bear. We think about the words we’re using to describe our food (no projecting a hate of green veggies here!) and practice only eating until we feel contentedly satiated (instead of gorging until we’re bloated). Even if it’s just one meal a day you can sit down all together it’s an important opportunity for learning and one that you won’t want to miss! #familydinner#healthyrelationshipwithfood#justlikedaddy
Last night’s dinner was fantastic! It was my son’s 15th birthday earlier in the week so we had a couple of his friends over yesterday afternoon and made homemade pizza. I used the Grain-free Dough recipe from the @lifechangingfoodbook and even though we are on GAPS and the dough is not compliant, I figured it was a waaaay better option than buying commercially made gluten free pizzas. The kids made their own pizzas and we offered homemade pizza sauce, nitrate free bacon and ham, fried minced beef with herbs and garlic, prosciutto, mushrooms, olives, capsicum, onion and cheese as the toppings. Soooo delish!! 👍🏻🍕
It's a #treatyoself kind of night...and just because it's Saturday ❤ grilled T-bones with green garlicky twice baked stuffed potatoes from @mariamakesstuff . Maria - you're genius! The boys made a face when they saw 🍃☘🍃 in the 🥔, but there were ZERO complaints as they gobbled them up. #lifeafterwhole30
Pan-seared Sea Bass with lemon-caper-spinach sauce on wilted arugula // After a Miami (jiggly) spirited (loud) hip-hop dance workout (#goalzzz )—from which I was drenched and smiling ringing-ear to ringing-ear—I craved ALLL the protein. After my lunch digested, I thawed this 5-oz #seabass filet, heated up a skillet on high, dropped in about half a glug of avocado oil, seared the #fish on all 4 sides, about a minute each, then tuned off the heat and rested it on the bed of arugula to start wilting. With the heat off, in the same pan, 1T of ghee mixed with the juice of half a lemon, a tiny splash of water, a large spoon of capers (no juice), 2 handfuls of fresh baby spinach and 4-cranks each of my #sneakygreens salt+pepper grinders. As soon as the spinach wilted, I poured the whole she-bang on my #fishandgreens . Dinner for one in under 10 minutes. 👏👏👏 #dinnerforone#dinnerin10#sofancysofastsofeelgood
I’m home finally and the gluten reintro continues with a @daveskillerbread everything bagel aka my one true love 😍 I toasted a bagel (7sp) and topped it with 1/3T of mayo (1sp) + two slices of low sodium bacon (2sp) + two eggs (0sp) + a huge side of roasted asparagus to make up for all the veggies I haven’t eaten today 😂 I’m feeling pretty good with gluten so far, I did get really sleepy about thirty minutes after eating lunch but that could be partly from waking up early, I’m going to wait and see how I feel in a bit here before I consider gluten to be an issue 🤔 #allofmyexcessreintro

Let’s clear up some questions on the egg 🍳 I’ve done a bunch of research to help answers people’s questions & help you feel empowered when going for this choice of healthy fats & protein ❤️More info below:
This study showed that incorporating daily whole egg into a healthy, moderate-carb diet actually improved lipoprotein profile (cholesterol, triglycerides, HDL, and LDL) and insulin resistance in individuals (Src 1)
These 2 studies showed positive increases in HDL (good cholesterol) when consuming eggs (Src 2 & 3)
This study showed that egg breakfast enhances weight loss when on a calorie deficit (src 4) .
Overall, incorporating the whole egg can be part of the healthy diet. Make sure to go for pasture-raised eggs because they have 1/3 less cholesterol, 1/4 less saturated fat, 3/2 vitamin A, 2X omega-3 3x more vitamin E & 7X more beta-carotene (src 5).

Day 20! Only 10 days to go! For me at least, my husband quit today 😑. But not me... I'm seeing this thing through til the very end! Even if I never experience that elusive tiger blood! I think it's a myth. 🤔
