Upon graduating from college, I started looking for work. My only requirement from potential employers was that their employees be happy—I couldn’t sit in a cubicle and stare at a computer all day. I took my first Pilates class during this period of job hunting and knew that’s where I wanted to be. I would’ve cleaned toilets at the studio (and I did sometimes!) if that’s what they needed. •
I went from receptionist to instructor in two years. I met my fiancée (seen with me here) where I teach Pilates. It doesn’t get any more joyful than that. To anyone who feels stagnant, to anyone unsure of what their purpose is: Say yes. Try everything. Travel everywhere. Volunteer your time.
