Every day grind. Consistency and Dedication are the key components. I am not the fastest, or strongest, but I am dedicated and motivated. -------
When I am asked, what is the secret to be motivated, not short term, but a long term. My answer is GOAL. Set the right goal, short and long term, and you will not need to look for a daily motivation, motivation will find you.
Weekends training sessions made me happy. I am thankful to be healthy, motivated and reaching for new heights. So many possibilities. Excited!
Throwback to a 10k road race 🏃 i did down in the beautiful queenstown NZ in 2014! I spent all that weekend before the race in the skii fields and really struggled through that 10k with sore feet!
Second spin day this week and let me tell you...It was hurting to sit today 😂 feels like that I just biked 112 miles sitting on a bike for 6,5 hours with no problem (Wisconsin Ironman in September) and I continued to spin after, and I only took a month off and now I have to condition my, as our instructor politely called it, fannie all over again to sit 45 min. But I am glad to be back spinning, good cross training and it is about time to up my biking game for an upcoming duathlon in April.
Now I am back at all 4 sports: running, swimming, spinning/biking and stairclimbing. I took a break from swim in November, run in December, spin in January and I have not climbed since last March till November of this year. Now back at all 4 and it is a puzzle. I will share my daily/weekly schedule with you.
Today was some form of a brick. I took my dog for a 5 miler post spin class, but I had to drive home 25 min after the class, so I had a break before the run. Soon I will be doing a lot of bricks. They are hard, but that is the most effective way I know to get ready to run off the bike in the triathlon. Happy training all!
