IT'S HERE!!!!! Make the Home you Love is on its way to a bookshop near you and will be available from Monday the 26th of March. It's a complete guidebook to the entire home renovation process from design to tendering to construction to interior and landscape design. It looks and feels even better than expected and I am so excited for you to see it. Couldn't have done it without @dmvfarchitects @ruthmariaphotos @6highstreet and O'Brien Press. Here's a sneak preview.
My view for the rest of the evening, lying in a heap with B. I did something a bit different today and it was so much fun but I am shattered! As part of @forestsidebt8's Forestside Outside campaign they are holding events out in the community, instead of on the mall. My fashion event is running over three days and involves me going back to primary school for two days! So that's where I was today, and that's why I'm so shattered 😂😂😂 I hate the idea of kids feeling pressured to look a certain way, and that's an unfortunate aspect of fashion that can sometimes arise. The way I look at fashion is that it is fun, creative, expressive and an incredibly powerful language, and that's what we wanted to bring to the kids today. So along with @colourandcloth and @chef_jeffers_ today we were in St Ita's PS (such a cool school) for an awesome creative workshop. I loved seeing how the kids' thought process played out and loved seeing them get stuck into designing and crafting. So much talent and I hope we sparked a little bit of inspiration in some of the kids who may consider going into the creative industries later in life. Serious respect for primary school teachers, how do they do it? (I was considering becoming a teacher before fashion took over!) I could sit for 36 hours solid with a sketch pad and keep going no probs, but an afternoon with 30 ten year olds has left me wiped! And we're gonna do it all over again tomorrow!!! OH but here's the best bit!!! The school's world book day was cancelled because of snow last week and rescheduled for today, so there were lots of cool and creative costumes floating about...and I was mistaken for a student by one of the teachers! Ok, briefly maybe but it's a primary school!! 😂 With my 37th birthday just round the corner I'll take that 😂🙌🏻.
