Because the flu is preventing me training at the minute I decided to look back at some videos of when I was able to train 🙄🤕😷
Bulgarian split squats! You know that song " I love you, I hate you" ..that describes my feeling towards this exercise, I love it because I find it very effective but I hate it because it's extremely hard! Normally instead of holding my phone I'm holding the bars in front for stability and my back leg is normally on a lower object but this set up did the job for the day! There's a weight in my other hand too!
Normally I try to be slower on the concentric and really get the tension on the quads and glutes and get good depth! This version is slightly rushed as it was a snapchat video so only had 10seconds to get the exercise in!
I Focus on keeping the weight on my heels and pushing my knee slightly outwards!
Today is a "use up everything that's going off soon" kinda day 💁🏻 Greek yogurt, passionfruit, stewed rhubarb, and pumpkin seeds. Stay tuned for more meals that are made up of shit in my fridge that's almost outta date 🍍
Dinner was more of a lunch today 😂 didn't even make it onto a plate! Today was my first day of counting macros, and although it takes a lot of effort, I think it's something that's really gonna work for me. I'm very excited about all the carbs!! Any tips from IIFYM-ers would be greatly appreciated ☺️
Feeling a bit sorry for myself this morning. I'm currently fasting for a blood test though, so it's entirely possible that I'm just hungry 😂😂 needing a little bit of inspiration on this rainy Tuesday morning and this quote is doing the job perfectly 👍🏼
So the scales went up this morning, but I refuse to be controlled by those little numbers when I know I'm making progress. On the plus side, body fat % went down a lil bit ✌🏼️My reliance of the scales is slowing declining, but it's tough to detach - I ❤️ my scales!
First time trying a quest bar 🙊 my local topaz have started stocking them. Has anyone else noticed how much topaz have improved their healthy food offerings lately? 👍🏼 I'm allergic to chocolate so my flavour choices were pretty limited, but hopefully this one is nice ✌🏼️
My lunch today - they're all mini portions, don't worry! Spicy vegetable soup, BBQ chicken salad, and mixed veg. You can tell you've officially embraced the clean eating lifestyle when you leave the croutons, onion rings, and potato on your plate! Only the good stuff for me today 💁🏻
I have a love/hate relationship with #transformationtuesday 🙈 I hate uploading the before pictures, but I love seeing them side by side with my after pictures 💁🏻 the centre photo was April 2012, and either side is July 2014. I've come even further since July 14, but I just can't find any decent pictures to show it 🙅🏻 anyway, as horrible as they are to look at, the motivation to keep going they provide is key 👌🏼

So today my mum told me that I've become obsessed with being skinny. When I told her that I want to be strong not skinny she laughed and said that I could call it whatever I wanted. It drives me crazy when people can't appreciate the difference between wanting to be the healthiest, best version of yourself and just wanting to be skinny. I've been so proud of myself lately at how healthy and active I've become - it's been a lifestyle change. Even today, I realised that I would no longer consider myself to be "on a diet" which is huge for me, as I spent my entire teenage life being constantly on a diet. I have no doubt that as I get leaner and stronger she'll have nothing but negative comments about it, but I have to try and stay positive regardless I suppose 😐
Finished up work for nine weeks of study leave today and what do I do on my first free night? Go to bed early of course 😴😴 I think I may possibly start to go a bit mad during nine weeks with no office banter, but I'm looking forward to using the free time to keep working on my bbg and also to get back to running and hot yoga. And to do a bit of study of course 😂😂
It's been so long since I've been home from the office early enough to just relax with a book. But nine weeks of study leave starts on Thursday, so I'll have plenty of time to read and workout...oh, and study I suppose 😂
