Diets are hard. For so many reasons. Between all the relentless misinformation and constant marketing gimmicks it’s easy to get really confused when you’re new to everything and just trying to get going. ———————————————————
Any kind of calorie restriction is going to be hard on a certain level and getting comfortable with being a certain level of hungry is a necessary evil. But with all that said, you should definitely not be dreading your diet. If you are, something needs to change. Change up the foods, start eating things you actually like instead of things you’re being told to eat. There’re so many whole food options out there to help you hit your macros. Once you start eating meals you enjoy, things get way easier.
The best diet for you is one you can actually stick to consistently and maintain even after you’ve reached your goals and beyond. This isn’t a quick fix,it’s a lifestyle change based on creating sustainable, good habits that push you closer and closer toward being happy and achieving your goals. ———————————————————
I truly do understand when people say they struggle with food cravings. As a former fat boy until only 2 years ago I completely understand. I’m not going to tell you it’s easy but I will tell you that if you focus on getting the fundamentals right, ignore marketing gimmicks and keep pushing even when you make mistakes;you’ll get there eventually I promise. ———————————————————
Thank you for reading this I hope I’ve helped in some small way😊 happy training and the very best of luck to all of you on your personal journey🙏🙏————————————————————————#flexibledieting#fitness#fit#fitnessaddict#fitspo#workout#bodybuilding#gym#train#training#dublinpersonaltrainer#healthy#fitfam#dublinfit#gymlife#personaltrainerdublin#instagood#instafit#lifestyle#diet#fitfamireland#fitfamdublin#iifym#exercise#dublinfitfam#irishfitfam#irelandfitfam#dublinfitness#fitnessmotivation#dublinfitspo
Fun training session this morning 😂💪
Not sure what @rbmar904 is doing 😂 and @gib30m_fitness trying to show his glutes while training 🍑🍑😂
Two great coaches who have a real passion for training which is always great to see 😁💪
About halfway through this mornings 4am back and legs session which was kicking my ass I had a wobble and thought screw this I’m tired and sore but you know what I didn’t stop I kept going, I pushed through and it ended as a great session. The reason I didn’t stop, I found my WHY, this is my reason for doing these 4am workouts, my goal and my personal target. Previously whenever I started working out/eating healthy/trying a fad diet (which there was many of) I always did it because I felt I should or someone else was telling me to, not because I wanted to. It took me a long time to find my WHY but now that I know it pushes me to keep going every single day! I would advise anyone struggle with healthy eating/exercise to really sit and think and ask yourself why you are doing this. FIND YOUR WHY!
Everyday you have one job: be better then you were yesterday. •
It’s hard to get back into action on Mondays I hear you! A rest day can really mess with your routine after working out hard all week. When Monday morning rolls around, my alarm goes off and my mind is still foggy it reminds me of how lovely it was to sleep in a little extra yesterday. What works for me is getting up right away, if I lay there to long I will hit snooze. Another reason its easier to get up is because I friggin love today’s workout and I was excited to see how much I could increase my weights and resistance loops for the end of this first phase. One hour flies by when you love what your doing! With this program my main goal is to see how far I can actually push myself: mind, health and body, I’ve never worked out to gain muscle. For me it was always to lose the extra fluff before a vacation, special event or summer bathing suit season. So I’m excited to see the end results! Don’t let yesterdays easy day make you lose your rhythm, 58 days to go!
Day 21/80 is another rest day/self care Sunday . I find myself less sore this week then the last two but we will see after I roll my legs on this cute little foam roller disguising a torture but oh so good messaging tool 🤣. Self care is important both physically and mentally, below are some non physical forms of self care. • read a good book in the peace and quiet
• take a bath, light a candle if desired, add bubbles or Epsom salts
• listen to your favourite music • take breaks from work
• find a reason to laugh (your fav tv show, friend, family member)
What’s your favourite way to mind break?
X1 banana (high carb unless sharing the pancakes)
X1 1/2 scoop protein powder
1/2 cup of almond flour
Whisk all ingredients in a bowl.
Form pancakes in a pan on low heat.
Makes approx 8 small pancakes
Drizzle with greek yoghurt
Had a good arm session today 💪🏼 tried to get the best angles I could 📸 this is some tricep workouts 💫- Single dumbbell tricep - (28kg) 4 sets of 10 reps
Single arm tricep pull down (cables)- (13kg) each arm 4sets is 10 reps
Tricep pulldowns drop sets - starting on 28kg - finishing on 8kg 🔥🏋🏽♂️
Today’s workout is probably my favourite. It is a total body core day, you work each different area of your body while working the abs at the same time. You also use your arms in every move to either hold you up, stabilize you or lift weights. So I have noticed a huge difference in the strength of my arms, an area that is probably my weakest is now something I’m coming to admire.
Strength grows in the moments when you think you can’t go on but you keep going anyway.
