I was so blown away by #BlackPanther ! Quite possibly the best film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to date. It picks up after the events of Captain America: Civil War where newly crowned King T'Challa returns home to the reclusive yet technologically advanced African nation of Wakanda to serve as the country's new leader. However, T'Challa soon finds that he is challenged for the throne by factions within his own country. When two foes conspire to destroy Wakanda, the hero known as Black Panther must team up with CIA agent Everett K. Ross & members of the Dora Milaje (the Wakandan special forces) to prevent the country from being involved in a world war. I love that the film pays homage to African culture & how it was respectfully presented on film. I love it's exoticism, and I think that this is the first MCU film that actually takes us to a different landscape. I love how it had a secondary villain before the primary one came out. I love how it meshed together so many elements perfectly well. I love the assembly of the cast, beginning with @chadwickboseman in his first ever lead role on film, my favorite @lupitanyongo, breakthrough actor & Oscar nominee this year @danielkaluuya & the hotness that is @michaelbjordan, as well as legendary actors such as Angela Bassett, Andy Serkis & Forest Whitaker. I love how the costumes by Ruth Carter is inspired by different African tribes (I am so digging the costumes of the Dora Milaje, which is inspired by a tribe in Kenya). The CG, editing, special effects & Rachel Morrison's cinematography are top notch. I also love the musical score of the film (infused with songs written & performed by Kendrick Lamar). The script had a really great narrative & for someone like who doesn't read comic books, I didn't feel alienated. This film is setting the bar so high for all comic book films that will come out this year. Now, I'm excited for Avengers: Infinity War & with what Marvel Studios will be coming up with. Super highly recommended!
If this worm could talk, it would quite literally be talking out of its ass. .
It's a pretty badass worm, once you discount the whole ass is mouth is ass bit (Mother Nature is mean that way). Also. Reasons why hammerhead worms are badass, in songs:
1. "Du riechst so gut (You smell so good)
Ich steig dir nach (I'll follow you)
Du riechst so gut (You smell so good)
Gleich hab ich dich (I'll have you right away)" ~They track down their favorite earthworms by the latter's slime, and once the target's acquired, extend their pharynx out, liquefy the earthworm and slurp it all up. Burp.
2. "Denn du bist was du isst (Because you are what you eat)
und ihr wisst was es ist (and you know what it is)" ~They're natural predators. But when food is scarce, they'll eat their own kind...or themselves...(by dissolving their own tissues).
3. "I'm a big big girl
in a big big world
It's not a big big thing if you leave me" ~They get really big (for flatworms), the largest recorded at 60cm.
4. "Sometimes two is better than one." ~They're hermaphrodites and generally asexual. They'd cut off 1cm of their own body, plant it into the soil, and 10 days later, widdle baby hammerhead worms would come sprouting out from the soil.
