When it comes to fencing or other type of garden design work we always recommend to hire a professional tradesman. If you go cheap on the team or try to save some money on materials sooner or later you will end up with a lot of headaches.
Here is a fence repair we did in Upper Edmonton, N18 5 months after it's been installed initially by a person not qualified doing fences. The whole fence fell off and our team had to install it once again from scratch. It looks great now, but the funds for the repair could have been invested way better in another direction 🌲👷💪
This was my first pruning cycle of the raspberry plants - in which you trim the 2 year old canes to the ground but keep the new canes from last year. At first I thought I wouldn’t be able to tell which was which, but once I looked close it was very obvious. The old canes were more thorny and brown and last year’s canes were larger and more purple-brown. They are good and ready for the spring now.
First #cucamelon of the season (better late than never) 😜🌱This particular plant I cut back at end of last summer and it sprang back 👍🏻 I love eating them small straight off the vine. Crunchy and taste like a cucumber with a hint of lemon 👌🏻😍
Finished planting a section of the garden border today. 10 hydrangea paniculata's went into the ground which include: 'Lavalamp Moonrock,' 'Lavalamp Candelabra,' and lastly my favorite, 'Zinfin Doll.' I can't wait to see them in bloom this summer!
Took a cue from these reemerging #succulents and got a head start on gardening today. In the midst of pulling weeds a neighbor stopped by to say hi, and before we knew it another couple (new to the neighborhood) joined us, then the wife and kids of the first. Pretty soon, we had a little back alley pow-wow going on. Pledging to be more intentional about my relationships with my neighbors this season. Life gets so hectic that it’s one of the things I take for granted for sure. Love when I’m able to make those simple yet authentic connections with those around me. Reminded today at worship service that relationships are entrusted to us by God and he calls us to be good stewards over them. #intentionalrelationships#christianliving#ilovegardening#gardeningwithcheryl#lovethyneighbor
It's a nice day so I looked at all the garden beds. I don't have anything set in stone yet except for garden bed 3. Garden bed one will probably be lettuce, greens, peas, and maybe green beans. Garden bed two will be tomatoes, peppers, eggplant, cabbage, broccoli and whatever I'm forgetting. Garden bed three will be wild flowers, melons, squash, and pumpkins.
