@meowmeix - My favorite protein sources! 🍳 It’s important to vary your protein sources to get the different benefits from each.
Also, I cannot emphasize enough how important it is to buy pasture-raised chicken & eggs, grass-fed beef & bison and wild salmon 🍃 It’s not the meat that has inflammatory properties but if they’re fed a diet of grains & antibiotics with little to no sunshine that can be detrimental to your health!❤️
Below is a breakdown of the some of the different benefits of each protein source. P.S. if you want some plant based sources of protein next leave a comment below.
Pasture-Raised Chicken: high protein source, lean, a good source of vitamin B6 & niacin. (Source 1)
Wild-caught salmon: high in omega-3 fatty acids, vitamin D, selenium, vitamins B3, B6, B5 and potassium. (Source 1)
Grass-fed beef: high in conjugate linoleum acid which has been shown in studies to lower cancer risk (source 2 & 3) & packed with omega-3 fatty acids & antioxidant vitamins.
Grass-fed bison: a lean source of protein, high in vitamin B12, zinc, selenium, niacin & iron. (Source 4)
Pasture-Raised Eggs: high in choline, omega-3 fatty acids, contain carotenoids which are important for your eyes (lutein and zeaxanthin) plus packed with more vitamins & minerals. (Source 5)

What is your favorite thing to do on St. Patricks day!?
St. Patrick’s Day is an annual feast day celebrating the patron saint the day is named for... Saint Patrick. Two-fold for me, this day was also my beautiful little grandmother's birthday so I also like to take a moment to remember her! 🌻❤️ Traditionally, my boys and I have enjoyed participating in the celebration by starting our day making green eggs and ham. From there we just love that we get to wear green and eat delicious green cupcakes. And sometimes.. we get to wear delicious green cupcakes!! 🤣🤣😭
Happy St. Patrick's Day!! 🍀
P.S. I may have missed the spot a little #happystpatricksday
¡Hola Chicos!
Homemade Crockpot Chicken Noodle Soup!
Ontop of mini meal prep, its time to start packing my own lunches and getting back to the basics. I forgot how much I enjoyed this. 🍲
Base Stock of your choice 10CUPS

Noodles in the last 30MINS

Do you fear fats?
Truthfully, are you sometimes afraid to eat certain foods due to the fat grams? Because I know I was. Even just a year or two ago. I would rarely eat regular eggs because they had fat and I thought egg whites were better for me. I would hardly ever eat real peanut butter because of how much fat it had in it, so I would only eat powdered peanut butter. And you all know how much I LOVE peanut butter.
I tried to eat as little fats as possible, because I thought that’s what was going to make me gain weight.
And while it’s my fault for believing these things, I also partially put blame on the media. They basically portray that fats will make you fat. And that couldn’t be more far from the truth. While eating too many fat grams per day will make you gain weight, eating the appropriate amounts will not.
In fact, fats are actually essential for the body. They help to give your body energy, protect your organs, absorb nutrients, produce hormones, and etc. All in all, fats should be a vital part of your diet, just like carbohydrates and protein.
Stop listening to the bogus information the media is feeding you. Just because the macronutrient is called “fats” does not mean it will make you fat. It’s a vital part of your diet, that you shouldn’t be afraid of.
So what’s your favorite food high in fats? Mine is DEFINITELY peanut butter, but avocados are a close second. 🙂

Today at the parade, two of my coworkers kids go “😱IS THAT THE IPHONE X?!?!?🤩” I’m like “👀 It isssss. Would you like to check it out?” 5 minutes later I get my phone back & spot this little gem(along with many selfies & photos of dogs at the parade). You can tell a child recorded it due to the height level it was recorded at lol.
A consistência fica SURREAL! Por último coloco adoçante e as vezes levo pra geladeira pra comer gelado! Fica maraaa! 😁
Quem fizer, me conta!!! ♥️
Happy St. Patrick’s day 🍀🌈. Really wish I was in Las Vegas sipping a cocktail right now rather than going back to work on Monday 😩. Summer needs to hurry up!! Wishing everyone but especially all my fellow red headed Irish friends a happy st paddy’s day! Cheers to ya 😜🍻. Xoxo 💟💟
Today, I am extra grateful for my fiancé. A man who had stood by me for 8 years. A man who I met when I was 15 years old. I feel like everyone envies high school sweethearts, yet they are the hardest relationship you will EVER be in. You are trying to grow up, while growing up together. It takes time and it takes A LOT of work. 8 years later, we have grown up and found who we are. In the mean time, we have held onto what we knew was a forever. Be grateful for those in your life who have stayed by your side and been your forever💗 They are truly one in a million and are too many times are taken for granted.

❗️Recovery Week Thoughts ❗️
After being sick last week, and pushing my body to its limits, I decided last Saturday that I was going to take a complete recovery week. What's a recovery week? A recovery week is when you take off time from the gym, focus on your nutrition and give your body a BREAK.
Here are some thoughts I had about the recovery week and whether I thought it was beneficial or not⬇️
1️⃣It DEFINITELY helped me feel better physically speaking-- my sickness went away after 2 days of not waking up at the crack of dawn to workout, and my aches and pains started to subside as well.
2️⃣The week leading up to the recovery week, I was SOOO exhausted after the work day. The recovery week was a great way to catch up on some 💤
3️⃣I actually didn't miss the gym as much as I thought I would have (but obvi I still want to get back in there)
4️⃣I was surprisingly in a good mood all week
5️⃣My body image was fine up until yesterday, but I think it's almost that time of the month😣
6️⃣Make sure you are still eating in the 80/20 ratio-- proper nutrition will definitely help with progress even if you're not working out
7️⃣Probably the most important-- I am SO PUMPED to get back to the gym and start lifting heavy again. Being away from the gym has lit a fire in me to really focus on my goals the next few months with @alexisclairefit ❤️
8️⃣Oh also, I DIDN'T LOSE ANY GAINS💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼
Let me know if you're thinking of taking a recovery week! I can try to offer as much advice as I can🤗 Overall, I'm definitely glad I did it. Taking this recovery week really has shown how much I've grown mentally, because I used to literally think that if I took even ONE rest day, that I would gain weight😂😂 like, whaaaaaat?!
Side note: Wearing the new @paragonfitwear winter line and it is 🔥 🔥 🔥
Great post explant update. We all share this long list of symptoms, until we explant.
Regrann from @blush_violet - Close to 3 months apart. I had my breast implants removed Dec 18, 2017 after a long slow deterioration of my health, leading to 60 chronic symptoms that would not go away despite my active, healthy lifestyle and only being 32 years of age with no family medical history of any of these issues. No doctor could find an issue, short of telling me I was just a tired mom..... I knew my body well. I knew it was not just being a mom. This is part of my story and my proof. Before and after explant photos. Nothing has changed short of doing less exercise (yoga only now instead of weights and cardio as I did before explanting until I could no longer keep up)and eating more calories then ever. I’m diagnosed with ASIA (shoenfeld syndrome) & awaiting results now for possible autoimmune disease and/or deficiency &/or new allergies as a direct result of the exposure to my breast implants. I had my Natrelle implants from 2010-2017. I transformed from a fit, active, happy & energetic person into an anxiety ridden monster that spent my days napping on a couch between feeding kids and then sleeping for the night as soon as I put my toddlers to bed. I was in a state of chronic inflammation, constant nausea and headaches, my body ached like it was 90, I had no energy. My vision was deteriorating, I had no memory recall, I was fumbling for words, slurring when I spoke, forgetting my own name, getting confused and disoriented. I couldn’t concentrate or focus and quit working for 5 months. I had chronic symptoms of UTI & yeast infections every single month. Nothing responded to treatment every test came back normal. My face was swelling. I was choking on water because it was so hard to swallow. My sinuses were always congested 24/7. My hair was coming out in clumps and I was developing balding patches. I reacted to fabrics, lotions, make up, soaps and detergents with itchy, burning rashes and swelling. I developed food intolerances to sugar, wine & lactose. I felt like I was dying.
Since explant 23 symptoms gone, 32 are improved, only 5 remain unchanged.
My goal for consistency this week was getting in 💯oz of water everyday. I’ve done it everyday expect yesterday! I’ll take it as a win! And it doesn’t hurt to have a cute water bottle 😍
What’s your goal for consistency this upcoming week?
In order to get fuller, rounder looking glutes, it’s important to work your hip abductors and your outter glute muscles. This superset is a great way to hit those often neglected areas! The first exercise is a banded squat and the second is banded side steps. In both of these you have to focus on using your glutes to push your knees out, and with the combo of added weight and body weight you’ll be sure to get a good pump💪🏻 I did 3 sets each for 10-12 reps! P.S. these exercises are also beneficial to guys because it will help you keep your knees pushed out during squats 💁🏻♀️
I’m squatting again hallelujah 😭🙏🏼 I’m so glad to be back to doing big lifts because first of all it’s just fun, but NOTHING else has ever been as good for my physique. The look l have when I’m doing more of a power building program is so much better than when I’m doing standard bodybuilding type stuff. Lots of curves, small waist, strong but feminine. It took me a long time to figure that out, especially since when I’m competing l have to stay away from anything that targets my quads. But now l do the workouts that l want to do, not the workouts that judges want me to do 🤷🏼♀️
I have a lot of strength to build back up, but today was a good start 🙏🏼 @chalkitupstrength
Wanted to share one of my current favorite dinners🍝!
Spaghetti squash with ground beef, marinara sauce & grated cheese... practically spaghetti & meatballs😍 honestly, I think I like this combo even more! So simple & so gooooood❤️
(And don’t worry I ate double this portion, got hungry early so I split it into two meals😛)
Feeling like you are constantly hungry?
If you are trying to lose a few pounds, you are likely watching what you are eating. Sometimes this means you are eating less calories then you are use to, aka a calorie deficit.
If your last meal was 3-4 hours ago it’s probably time to eat but if your last meal was half hour ago and you still are feeling hungry here are 5 tips to help those hunger pangs!
1️⃣ First thing you should reach for is WATER! When we are really thirsty our body will mistake our hunger cues for dehydration.
2️⃣ Make sure every meal has protein. Protein gives us the greatest feeling of satiety!
3️⃣ Try eating a lower calorie food so you can have a large portion of it, VOLUME. Try having a big salad, some raw veggies or a water based soup.
4️⃣ Exercise suppresses our appetite, and also burns calories too. Double win 😊
5️⃣ Get busy!! When we are busy we are not thinking about food, our brain is occupied. Me and Teddy challenge you to get out of your house, go for a walk, go visit a friend!
I often have tea or coffee when my stomach is starting to complain but I know I’m not ACTUALLY hungry ☕️ Comment below, what helps you control your hunger? ⬇️
Happy St. Patties Day 🍀🤗💚
Seriously couldn’t be any HAPPIER with what I brought to the @arnoldsportsau Amateur stage this weekend!!!! A dream come true, an accomplishment to a goal I’ve worked so hard for, and an experience I can tick off my bucket list. Being in the Top 10 callouts was so freaking humbling, I’m still waiting for it to truly sink in!!!! If this is the package I brought this season, I can’t begin to imagine what another 12 months of solid training is going to bring for the next Arnold’s!!!!! Beyond excited to get stuck into my off season to make some seriously epic gainz. Until next year!!! @ifbbproleagueoz @coachdeasy @graniteconditioning #ArnoldOz
I tried these at the end of my session today 🔥 These burn your glutes!🍑
This would also be a great exercise at the start of a glute day - to get the muscles working before bigger compound movements. -
This move force you to stabilise and also activate at the same time 🙌
Try doing 3 sets, 10-15 on each leg. I was inspired to give them a go by the beautiful @laurinconlin 😘
