Yesterday, my Grandpa sent me a picture of a flower bouquet he bought my Grandma. He said, “flowers for my woman of 63 years. Where has the time gone?” SIXTY THREE YEARS TOGETHER! Talk about #goals . My Grandpa became a Dad at 19, my Grandma, a mom at 21. They have 3 kids, 5 grandkids, and 1 great grandchild. They’ve lived in California, Libya, and Alabama (I’m sure some other places as well) thanks to the Air Force. They bought a lake house and are pretty much living the dream.
We catchup at least once a week, and I cherish the conversations I have with him. We talk a lot about the passing of time, how quickly things change, and how important it is to hold your loved ones close. My Grandpa is so impressed by the advancement in communication technology. From hand written letters and “party” lines to text messaging, email, and FaceTime. I love that I can keep the ones I can’t hug a little closer. And I’m rambling a bit... I say all of this because 63 years together is amazing. It’s a lifetime full of moments that. create a story. Moments that you look back on and your heart feels FULL. Ask questions. Get to know the stories of those around you. I’ve only been around for 32 of those 63 years, but it sure is special to be a part of such a GRAND love story 💕

It was a cold afternoon. Jacket weather. Overcast. Waves crashing violently against the rocks. Salt water spraying across me. Wind whipping against my face.
But there was also something incredibly serene about it.

Marriage isn’t always a walk in the park & sometimes it can be really really hard, especially living that military life! I can honestly say, though, that after three years, we have more wins than losses and it has truly been the biggest blessing being able to grow up with each other and figuring this whole life thing out hand in hand. 💕

When meeting people or clients here in Hawaii, they always ask me what brought me here to Hawaii.
I am beyond blessed to be able to smile and say, "My son." It has been a wild ride since making Hawaii my home. But I would never trade any of it for anything. This kid means everything to me and always will. 🌴🌺
Funny story about this picture. The first time I attempted to do stairway to heaven was with @lomerrill33 right before a hurricane. Long story short we had to get rescued in a helicopter. So the 2nd time I went on craigslist for “stairway to heaven tour guides” and found @davidfrietz who took this photo. Me and Dave are great friends now. And well me and Laura… we got a free helicopter ride around the island of Oahu that day.
