These tall pines used to provide so much shade. If I was doing a shoot, I could start as early as 1-2 pm certain times of the year. You could NEVER see the Sunset before Hurricane Irma, not even at the very top of the trees! The Sunset is beautiful, but I miss the amazing natural light diffusion of those full pines! Hoping they grow back quickly! 🌲❤️🌲

The Carribean islands and Florida are recovering and rebuilding—they still need us. With your support to date we’ve provided:
✅ $19 Million in total aid for Hurricane Irma
✅ 118 shipments of medicine and supplies

Clyde AKA "Dracula" has now been an indoor cat for 5 weeks. It took 2 1/2 years for this once feral to become tame enough to come indoors. And, it was only after #hurricaneirma2017 that he willingly came in and out of the house and would spend the night occasionally. I am so proud of me and him! It has been a total commitment and not always joyful to have the patience and fortitude to domesticate this guy. #catsofinstagram#tipped#tnr
HURRICANE IRMA, ANGUILLA
September 6, 2017
Six months ago yesterday, this was me walking in shock, through the devastating debris of my beloved cottage. Thank you Irma for dramatically changing my life, you Bitch.
Swipe to see before shots of my cottage I built with love in 1999.
The week before Irma I documented my property and the other two shots show " before Irma". #anguilla#hurricaneirmasurvivor#hurricaneirma2017#hurricanes
I’ve always had this fascination with the moon, the immensity of its light is beautiful to me. I think maybe I missed my calling to be an astronaut. The thought of flying to the moon fascinates me, and so, when we came upon this market sitting on the cute tile stairs and looking off into the distance dreaming of outer space was a must! Shortly after my husband took this picture, he read my mind. He looked at me and said “I know exactly what you’re thinking...you want to name our first daughter Luna, huh?”. Long story short, he was not opposed.
The Road #BacktoHealth : David is one of #thesurvivors we’ve been able to help in the wake of Hurricane Harvey. Read his story and our full #HurricaneSeason2017 update with our bio link. ⬆️⬆️⬆️ Our work is not done!
Today marks six months since Harvey made landfall, the most powerful hurricane to hit the U.S. in 13 years (since 1961's Hurricane Carla, the most powerful #Texashurricane on record).
The @weatherchannel cites that “in just 56 hours, Harvey grew from a regenerated #tropicaldepression over #theGulfofMexico into a #Category4 hurricane as it made landfall near the Texas #GulfCoast late on Aug. 25.” We were there to respond in the immediate aftermath, and to date have provided with your generous support:
✅#HurricaneHarvey : $12 million total aid, 142 shipments of medicine and supplies, with 55 partner organizations receiving assistance.
✅#HurricaneIrma : $19 million total aid, 118 shipments of medicine and supplies, with 38 partner organizations receiving assistance.
✅ #HurricaneMaria : $39 million total aid, 43 shipments of medicine and supplies, with 51 partner organizations receiving assistance.
This my friends, is a picture of hope, encouragement, and re-growth. A coconut sprout!
About five months ago in the throws of hurricane Irma, I was desperate to get out of Angel John’s RV and asked for a job. So my Dad put me to work planting six coconuts around the church building.
At the time I thought, why in the world am I planting trees when literally our entire house, church, and lives look like chaos? What is the point?
But today I can see why, I can see the fruit.
“We travel because we need to, because distance and difference are the secret tonic to creativity. When we get home, home is still the same, but something in our minds has changed, and that changes everything.” 🏝🛳
#tbt to the #msccruise I went on with some fabulous people in September!! Can’t wait to go on the next one in February 2019!! 🙌🏻🎉
