The 17 hectare domaine Dureuil-Janthial goes back to the 13th century. The domaine mainly lies in the Côte Chalonnaise, and partly in the Côte de Beaune and Côte de Nuits. Today they grow 20 appellations. Since 2001 no more herbicides are used. And since 2008, 60% of the domaine is worked by organic methods. At the bottom pictures the Rully 1er cru les Margotés, which is grown on a clay-limestone terroir vineyard with vines of approximately 70 years old. We had this bottle during diner in the Restaurant Faubourg 114 in Paris. They have a nice Sommelier, Narcis, which offered us a bottle of domaine Trapet (2015 white, a minima, upper right picture) simply because the one we ordered was sold out! #fantasticguy We also had red Savingny Les Beaune by Domaine Catherine et Claude Marechal (upper left picture).
