I have been MIA. The flu WIPED my family out and honestly, I’ve hardly been to the gym in over two weeks. We are all healthy and back to normal but I am scared to death to take my kids back to the gym daycare. Not that they’re not exposed at school and church and everywhere else, but it’s a mental thing—there’s just something about gym daycares. Do you agree?👇🏼 I just can’t do it yet. We have had way too many rounds of strep, ear infections, hand-foot-mouth and colds that it’s been enough to keep even ME from bringing kids to the gym. So I worked out at home. WHICH I HATE DOING. But I did it. And worked up a sweat in fact. I’ve got a good 30 lbs to lose which is daunting, but it will come. This post partum flab phase is the WORST! I have a confession to make. I haven't been consistent with working out since August 2017. My brother passed way on July 31rst and my world was changed forever. I lived with my brother for almost 4 years. He had a stroke a few years back which left him disabled and in a wheelchair. I moved out 3 months prior to his death and I feel like if I was still living there he would still be with us today.
I know that's not true yet that's how I feel and still feel. You know what else I feel. If I don't get my health in order, my daughter could be writing a post like this about me.
So I started back to working out last week and I'm sore as heck but feeling good.

Taking a deload week was hard for me, but it definitely paid off. I increased weight back up to reach 8-10 reps, and my resting heart rate finally dropped back into the 60s. Shoulder night was a good one, I was able to push weight that I’ve been struggling with. I’m celebrating the little victories because those little victories add up quicker than you think they do.
The second picture is from exactly six months ago. I still can’t believe that’s where I was. Seeing the difference actually makes me feel better about my bulk. I’m excited to put on a little more muscle, and then work on getting the fat cut off.

Pagi ini cuma punya waktu 20 menitan untuk workout, jadi aku pilih full body workout hari ini pakai resistance band dari @attabina_bodyandbeautycare, terima kasih Mba @mindapratidina , bener - bener kerasa banget otot - ototnya kelatih semua 😀 berikut ini gerakan2nya ya :
• squat 10 x , tarik resistance band ke atas dan depan wajah, ketika sampai di depan wajah bisa di stretch lagi .
. • back lunges 10x masing2 kaki, tarik resistance band ke atas ketika kaki digerakkan ke belakang
. • side crunch 10x masing2 kaki
. • leg raise 10x , tarik resistance band bersamaan ketika kaki digerakkan naik ke atas
. • crunches 10x , tarik resistance band ketika kaki diluruskan .

Today I proved a misconception about myself wrong. I missed my workout yesterday, so my never miss a Monday was a never miss a Tuesday 🤦🏻♀️🤔 It happens, it’s called real life. #butactually .
I didn’t want to be off track and let’s be real, I didn’t want to workout on Sunday to make it up (I treasure my sundays for naps, church, time spent with my people and did I mention naps?!). 😂😂
I knew I had to make up my workout, so instead of procrastinating till the end of the week, which is what old Raine would have done and end up not following thru. 🤔 I decided I’ve never done a double before and I don’t know if I can do it, BUT I know that if I set my mind to it: I CAN and I WILL. .
It wasn’t the prettiest workout, but I did it and proved to myself I’m more capable than I think. 🎉☺️
