Book One: ‘Gula & Colos Find a New Home’ Joey was getting older and Gula & Colos had taught him about being careful; to stay hidden and quiet when the indigenous tribes visited the area for their festivals. Never, never climb into the trees or eat the leaves along these pathways, they would say, danger lurks there. Joey had seen the tall dark slender shapes moving silently and gracefully through the forest: he knew not to get too close. ( image of indigenous people is from a drawing not a photograph)
We started this crazy homeschool journey just two weeks ago after trying to make public school work for the past 6 years. Square peg, round hole. I haven’t seen this much life in his eyes for a while now 😍 #unschooling#homeschoollife#gameschooling#autism
I believe I was put on this earth to inspire the heck out of people, empower lives, and be a blessing in many ways. •
Life can be rough at times but it’s a choice to continue to live in the rough times or create the beauty! •
I’ve lived in many rough days from:
- being homeless for ”seven” years.
-being told I was never going to have kids.
-being told I can't make a living helping people.
-being taken advantage of in business.
-letting go of people who are negative in many ways. -creating my best life....AND so much more!
But my friends I'm here to say DON’T let that stop you from thriving on to create, live, and love your best life💯! The best thing about life is we have choices and we can make choices daily to be better, do better, create better, live and love better! I believe in you and wish you all the greatness and wonders😘
We hit Memphis today! It was an 80 degree day filled with music history, crazy Beale Street adventures and sunset on the Mississippi River. ((More in our story)). I gotta tell you today was SO many logistics.... who needs to go to the bathroom .....while this one needs a snack... oh Birdi-Kate needs a diaper change... micah can you find Vivi-June’s paci?... what Eesajane? You’re finger has a scratch? No you don’t need a bandaid for that.... you get my point. Today we had successes in having fun even though there’s a lot of logistical ping pong. And the kicker?? I got to hold Johnny Cash’s original recording mic. 🙌🏻🙌🏻 #familyof7#memphis
Motherhood-swoon candid. When you’re on a field trip and your friend @jennyjopadgett has this tender-covering-moment with one of her twin boys. Yes, the other twin was hiding behind the stroller, and yes, soon after the stroller was pulled, tipped and toppled backwards with all snacks spilling and rolling about, and yes, keys were lost, and yes grown up conversations were started and never finished— or shortened to a bullet point, and by the end of the day diapers got saggy (literally and figuratively),.. but in the midst of that there was this. 💕 AND there was a killer watercolor lesson (check my stories). And there were still meaningful conversations and encouragement as we all figure out seasons of motherhood together, and we even snuck in a cup of tea together... And on this day there were inspired moms and children who made memories together while marveling at God’s magnificent creations and enjoying it all— from tender moments to toppled strollers and tea. #sothankful
Yesterday’s Chicago downtown field trip: @garrettpopcorn and @triplecrownchi. Is there anything better than Chicago Mix followed by Dim Sum?! I think not 🤣🤣 What’s your fave thing to do in Chicago? ❤️❤️ #homeschoolfieldtrip#cultureday#iheartchicago @tinahoeksema
Wow today was such a wonderful day honestly having just a moms day out was something I needed!!!
Connecting with other moms not just on a mom level on a spiritual level out in nature Gods beauty to us was the best part of the day. Just thank you again @jennyhcordero
You know it is funny how things work in life. When I am scared and freaking out about how we are doing to pay this or pay that we never have any money. But when I just relax, enjoy the day and do what I am supposed to do money is always there.
Money is just a tool made to flow in and flow out. If you look at it that way you will always have an abundance of it as long as you manage it correctly. Especially if you are doing something you love and do the work from a place of love and joy.
Being a coach has given me the opportunity to help others find their way, freedom to spend time with my family and still make a good living. Focus on the impact of what you can do for others and I promise you the rest will be there.
Happy St. Patrick’s Day ☘️🍀☘️ Our leprechaun was able to stump the kiddos with one of his rhyming riddles but #MiniMan finally solved it. #BabyZ was not pleased with where he hid his gold this year...tried to get him to come see the rainbow and he went into full tantrum mode. I think he thought he had to go back to sleep. 🤣😝🤣 More pictures on my blog. #linkinbio
