my favourite salad this summer has been a simple combination of heirloom tomatoes, green peppers, basil + mitzuna lettuce 🌱 all picked from the veggie patch just moments before serving + drizzled with extra virgin olive oil + apple cider vinegar 😋
This morning we picked the first of our home grown watermelons! We had to google ‘how to know when your watermelon is ripe’ 😁- what did we do before google??! There was much anticipation, but we nailed it 🙌 Super juicy, super sweet - I couldn’t cut it fast enough for those cheeky little hands! Things really do taste better #homegrown don’t they?
The perfect compliment to our Grow Kits and Growhouse, our Brass Mister provides the ideal amount of moisture needed for seed starting and sprout growth, and looks good doing it. Now back in stock! #HeyMister
Lettuce 🌿is one of the easiest and earliest veggies to plant - even before the last frost ❄️ date. Watch my new YT video (link in profile) for 4 tips for how to grow lots (not just a little bit!)of fresh, tasty lettuce for salads! 🌿🥗🌿🥗
Anyone planting lettuce this weekend?
Sage is hands down one of our favourite all time herbs, we have it with our eggs in the morning… our chicken for lunch… or in our gorgeous burgers, pastas, pizza… in short - it adds so much amazing flavour!
The beauty of sage is that it not only tastes awesome, it soothes digestive issues & heartburn, helps with mental concentration, attention span & memory as well as eyesight & menstrual problems…. oh… & its essential oil contains ketones – not too shabby right!!
Make sure you plant your sage in a sunny position & it’s usually ready to harvest in around 2 months!
This #bigblackmamapepper was ready to pick this morning! It almost darkened to the shade of a long black #coffee . 🌶
Quite flavoursome, but real gnarly too. Some real heat. I cut it open to get the seeds out and it was making me cough.
One of my favourite chillies I've grown this season.
