Feeling exhausted after NICU nursin’ all night and chasing a toddler around all day, so I’m winding down with lavender + frankincense in the diffuser and Wellness Tea in my mug. I take Traditional Medicinals Throat Coat and organic/raw honey and add 1 drop each, Thieves, lemon, and copaiba. Other days frankincense makes its way into some sort of magical combo like this. You can’t go wrong with the unicorn tears. Anyway, all of these oils are SO good for supporting your immune system, and Copaiba has the added benefit of being super calming and relaxing (give me all the beta-caryophyllene🙌🏻). I’m so grateful for these tools in my toolbox I can use every day. Being empowered with your wellness is an amazing feeling! #intentionalliving
My late lunch was really all about these homemade potato chips that I've been craving. 😜
I tossed the Sweet potatoes and purple potatoes in olive oil and sea salt. Then baked on 350° for 20 mins until brown.😍 TGI almost Friday!! Has it been a busy week for everyone or is it just me?
shamrock shake, anyone? ☘️
✨how about one with 400 fewer calories, 100g less added sugar, and a gram or two more of protein (+fiber, antioxidants) with that same refreshing minty taste??✨
👉🏻just in time for #thirstythursday and to get you ready for st. patty’s #smoothiesaturday festive sipping, just blend:
1 container @siggisdairy plain yogurt
3/4 cup water or almond milk
1 scoop vanilla protein powder
1/4 tsp peppermint extract
+ handful of ice
also, not going to lie, I did add 1/2 cup peeled eggplant because I had to (#foodoftheweek )... guess who couldn’t taste it 💁🏼♀️
Living in a snow globe in March makes me want to curl up in a blanket with a cup of tea and 😴, but instead I’m trying to be as productive as possible because the second spring hits, we are out the DOOR. Peppermint helps wake my brain up so I can focus and stay on task on days like these. Today I have a drop in my coffee (I like it strong, but you can tone it down by swirling a toothpick in the dropper top and then stirring that into your water/tea/coffee), and paired it with Citrus Fresh in the diffuser. Energizing dream team perfection💪🏻💪🏻 I love that both of these come in the new starter kit so you can just get right to it. What’s your go-to energizing blend?
When in doubt, use LAVENDER! Seriously. But just know, there is more “lavender oil” on the shelves than there is lavender plants harvested and distilled, so it’s important to know where your oils are coming from! A bottle of oil only needs to contain 5% pure essential oil for the label to say 100% pure/therapeutic grade because of how things are (or aren’t) regulated; the rest could be synthetic fragrances, additives, and cheaper oils, because money. They make it cheaper, you get it cheaper, but then it’s like… wait what am I doing here? •
Anyway, we use lavender like water around here, but here’s just TEN of the bazillion ways we make it rain with those precious flower tears:
+Calming blends for this mama - I need all the calming I can get
+In the kids’ diffusers to help them sleep longer •
+On my dryer balls to make my sheets smell like heaven #goodnight
+DIY diaper cream and “ouchie” cream - Aria has sensitive skin and is also my wild child, so we use lavender like... A LOT. 🤦🏼♀️😅
+On my hands when I have a #mombrain moment in the kitchen and grab a hot pan handle with no oven mitts.
+In relaxing bath salts after a long day, or a drop in Aria’s bath! All the immune system, emotional, and skin support. •
+Seasonal support, because pollen🤧 in the diffuser, rubbed on the bottoms of my feet and temples, and swabbed on the inside of my nose. •
+My favorite DIYs: sugar scrubs, lotions, makeup remover wipes, mermaid hair spray •
+A couple drops in my mascara for longer lashes 💁🏼♀️💅🏻
+Massaged directly onto my scalp and face for healthy hair and skin💆🏼♀️
One bottle does it all. What’s your favorite way to use this little gem of a bottle?
I believe this is called master tonic. Choppped, raw horseradish, jalapeño, ginger, onion and garlic submerged in raw apple cider vinegar. Shake daily for at least two weeks. When time’s up, I can strain it and use it to help keep our immune systems strong. I’ve always eaten a lot of garlic during the winter - and I’m really looking forward to trying this! Has anyone tried before? 🌶 #mastertonic#healthyhomemade#simpleliving#frugalliving
