There were lots of lows and there were some highs!
Not the result I wanted but the new standard on HSPU was fun. I hope they keep this standard for next year.
Couple years ago, I could hardly do a HSPU and to do 26 of them in this workout, will definitely take this as a small victory.
#18point3 & #18point4 have made me realize that there is so much more I need to improve on to just get to a respectable place in the workouts.
RANT: Improvement season couldn't be a more perfect way to describe this off season for me. But what originally started as a "season" has turned into the entire year. 2018 will be my year of investment. Not only in the gym, but outside as well. Some people may call me selfish, but I don't care. I am my top priority. I am more focused and determined than ever to crush my fitness goals, live a healthy lifestyle, and be competent in my career. And if I feel like someone is limiting my potential and tying me down, see ya 👋🏼 It's so important to surround yourself with those who will challenge you and enhance all your good qualities. So until I find that in someone, I will continue to block out the limiters and I won't feel sorry about it at all ✌🏼 #independentwoman#blinderson#headdowneyesforward#improvementseason#offseason#idontneednoman#justdoingme
“Set your goals high. Put your head down. Work harder than anyone else you know. Be relentless and destroy them. Clap for your own damn self” 👉🏼 DL max up to 205lb and working on building my base but couldn’t help to max out yesterday
👉🏼 I’m definitely not a “power lifter” but chasing after strength goals has me feeling so empowered
👉🏼 grinding for myself only 🏋🏻♀️
Ps: I was trying to get my liquid chalk to dry faster in the first pic 😂 • •
My lighting is super yellow in my office in the evening, but here's a fun #throwback from last week. Art is a fantastic client, and I'm thankful to have clients like him that return year after year.
Thanks for looking.
This morning I make a choice: sit in bed for another half an hour or go for a run. I have a love hate relationship with running but now with an injured arm I need to start changing up my workouts.
Mornings runs are the worst tho... Do I have to go? 🙄 I know what the correct answer is, but man it feels hard to even swing my legs out of bed. .
Sometimes I like to tell myself "there is not a single workout that anyone has ever regretted".. and then I try and remember all the times I regretted working out 😂 .
But the truth is pretty simple, it requires sacrifice (sacrificing my sleep in), dedication (to stick to my goals and program) and PLENTY of will power (to finally make the right choice). SO.
I'm making the choice. Heart rate monitor on. Headphones in. Time to run. (For the first time in a long ass time... here we go). .
Shaking hands and hanging out with some of the most humble amazing people I’ll ever aspire to be like. It was definitely and experience of a life time 🙏🏽 mad love to everyone that’s helped me get here and to where I’m going ✈️ #flywithorgetflownover
The more uniquely YOU you become the more you will both inspire and intimidate others. The important thing is to continue being you and pursuing your strongest self. Don't dim your light for those afraid of your greatness or allow the height of the pedestal others put you on to convince you to stop climbing. Your journey is a personal one you must forge your own path.
