Ok. So after serving in the rain I still have a little curl left in my hair but my curls have already started to show out and my grey hairs will not stay down . 😂
Despite how it may look I do not sleep cute so I hope my hair looks this way in the morning. 😂😂😂😂 #hairchronicles#thestruggle#naturalhair
Still hanging in there I think I’m about 13weeks 😩 and I just can’t with this new growth! Hopefully this week I’ll be going to the Salon 🤞🏾...I honestly don’t know why this stretch was hard, I’ve stretched for 6months before 🤔. Anyways I might be doing 8 weeks from now on 👀 🤷🏾♀️
Curl definition! ➿➿➿

as a strong believer in the inherent, natural beauty of all people, I owe the loc community a heartfelt apology. Until recently, I viewed those who chose to loc as lazy and conforming, bc i thought locs were very low maintenance and stemmed mainly from people not really understanding how to take care of their hair. I especially disliked freeform locs, and regularly referred to them as “homeless looking dreads” out of pure ignorance. I thought that they were matted and cemented with dirt. however, research has revealed to me the beauty and history of locs (also that some take offense to them being called “dreads”, bc nothing about their hair is dreadful). many view the act of locking as a spiritual journey and religious symbol, representing nonconformity and celebrating individuality, bc no two freeformers will have the same head of locs. there is so much beauty in the loc community and they are even less represented than 4c hair, which i did not even think was possible! when i began researching locs, i entered a realm of the natural hair community that i was so foreign to, and it was amazing to me. so, now, i will more than likely NEVER loc, but i am all for supporting and celebrating the beauty of all locs🧡
