It’s still #flexfriday with a glute pump, right? 🍑🔥. I had an excellent leg day, and this pump was too good not to post about. I’ve even making so much progress on my lower body, starting with figuring out what the best ways for me to warm up are. .
I always start with ankle and hip mobility, then move into glute pumpers. Glute pumped inside banded or air squats, standing or all-fours kick backs, abductors, and glute bridges or hip thrusts. 🍑👊🏻. Proper warm up and activation is KEY to growing the glutes. These pumpers also get the blood flowing to hammies and quads 🙌🏻. So ALWAYS make sure you’re warming up for your goals! .

It is so so possible to change your life, and so damn worth it. It has been almost 5 years and I remember like it was yesterday what it’s like to have food control my life. Constantly comparing myself to those around me, trying and trying yet for some reason never having the discipline to stick to any “diet” or exercise routine. Then punishing myself over it with constant negative thoughts and feelings towards my body. I had no understanding of proper nutrition and exercise, and I had no idea where to even start. 
If you’re feeling alone or discouraged I just want to remind you that it’s possible to reach your goals even if it may not seem like it right now.
Start out by setting achievable goals, celebrate small victories, give yourself a break when things don’t go as planned, follow individuals who inspire you rather than make you question your own worth, and always remember that your well being is so much more important than reaching the lowest number on the scale.

Happy Friday, the weekend is here 😎
Wanted to talk about one of my favorite heavy compound movements other than bench which is, deadlifts!!! It's a wonderful movement that really strengthens your quads, hamstrings, glutes and back. 🍑🦋🍗

❤️What I love about deadlifts is that there are so many different ways to perform it,and you can choose which way is more comfortable and is best for you including your stance and hand / grip positioning. I personally prefer sumo over conventional, only because I have hurt my lower back since I have a hard time keeping my lats tight and back straight while doing conventional and I have a hard time using the power in my legs. Sumo helps me keep my balance and be able to push my feet in an outwards (trying to split the floor apart) motion  which helps engage more power for me which engages my leg power when I reset and I am able to stay tight the whole lift.

🏋🏻‍♀️Last year I was doing a powerlifting program by @megsquats and the style of training I was doing was very focused on the 3 main lifts, low sets and low reps, my strength sky rocketed from not being able to lift 95lbs to lifting 265lbs within a couple months. My style of training now includes lots of volume and around 4-5 sets, I have been increasing the weight every two weeks by 5-10lbs. I do think that this style of training is helping me grow and get stronger since high volume really challenges you, and helps you be able to lift heavy weight for more reps. One thing about strength is that it takes patience , it takes hard work, concentration, and a whole lot of chalk 😂

Das Beintraining heute tat echt gut 😍🙏🏻 zum Schluss war ich noch eine Runde auf dem Laufband und es ist doch einfach ein geniales Gefühl, wenn man vom Band runterkommt und das Gefühl hat, dass die Beine nicht mehr zu einem selbst gehören 🤭🙈 Wer von euch weiß was ich meine?

Currently sitting at my highest weight in a little while, which initially was a little uncomfortable (and kinda devastating 🙈) for me as my weight has always been something I’m insecure about. 
But I’m trying to practice what I preach and that means reminding myself that weight is not the way to judge progress. I may be carrying a little extra weight right now, but I have more muscle than ever. Weight shouldn’t be how you judge physical fitness, it’s about how you feel and I FEEL healthier and stronger than ever 💪🏼

Side note: according to the poll on my story, y’all would like to see more videos and it’s pretty split between upper body and legs & glutes so I will be trying to put together a little of both in the next week or 2. Stay tuned! And thanks to all of you, as always, for being a part of my journey 💕

The Caffeine within coffee stimulates excitatory neurotransmitters by antagonizing adenosine receptors throughout the nervous system. There has been found to be a dose-response relationship between coffee intake and decreased risk of parkinsons disease. This is thought to be as a result of coffees rich supply of antioxidants promoting the expression of enzymes that mitigate the neurodegenerative effects of free radicals. The effects on the development of cancer remain controversial and needs further investigation. Both positive and negative assosications between coffee consumption and cancer risk have been described for most types of cancer. Moderate daily caffeine intake has been shown to decrease the risk of alzheimers disease. Caffeine may reduce expression of genes such as presenilin-1 which is important the formulation of the amyloid plaques that charecterise this disease. Overall there is seen to be a slight benefit to drinking coffee, however further research is needed for this to be conclusive.
