For easy cooking prick with fork and place in microwave to soften. Cut in half and finish baking at 375 until soft enough to put a fork into it.
About a year 🗓 ago I decided to change my life.
I was struggling with pain 🤕 every day. .
For the previous 18 🗓months I lived in a medical 👩🏻⚕️state of “undiagnosed” I felt like I was dying 😭 from the inside out.
I had raging 😤 health issues that took over my life in 2016. After months of tests and food elimination, I still wasn’t getting better.
I was sick 🤕, tired, stressed out, filled with anxiety, SHAME and confusion.
I went from being a foodie 🧀🥖🍖and loving every meal to being stressed out at the thought of how eating would make me feel.
In the spring of 2017 I was diagnosed with IBS, which today I still think is bullshit 🤦🏻♀️.
I was determined through better nutrition, consistent fitness and an improved lifestyle I would turn back the clock to a time I didn’t hear those words or feel that pain.
I remember when I joined my first online fitness group. I remember how emotional 😭 I was. I felt alone, scared, weak, broken and helpless. Yes I felt all those feelings and more. .
I started with yoga 🧘♀️ and cried for days. I would go from the bathroom to my yoga mat and back again. .
I was skeptical about home workouts, I was to sick to leave the 🏡 so that’s what I surrendered to.
I committed to consistency, variety and intensity in my home workouts, the result - the best shape of my life, legit💕🙌🏻. .
I had the best community support, access to amazing trainers who streamed in through my tablet anywhere I wanted to set it up.
I also trusted the superfood shake daily!
What did I have to lose, I spent more at Starbucks in a month.
Vegan Superfoods🌱, spinach, frozen🍓, unsweetened 🥥 🌴 🥛, ice and 💦 .
I have consumed over #365 shakes and while I may never truly escape IBS I have definitely improved my stomach health, I have no doubt that this daily shake has played a pivotal role in the improvement in my health.
Combining my daily shake with over 300 workouts 🙌🏻💕🙌🏻 has left me feeling strong 💪🏻, proud, grateful, flexible, agile, and so much more. .

Trying out some @dailyharvest smoothies courtesy of my mom! This was the açaí + cherry. I blended with almond milk and quickly had a smoothie! This was super excited because I usually get don’t feel like doing the prep work for smoothies and this was super easy. It did splash pouring back into the cup and wound up all over my kitchen and me but that’s really just because I NEED a blender with a spout for things like this! (🤞🏼there’s hopefully a vitamix in my future)

🚨 Why I don’t believe in diets/meal plans/fasting/juicing/or pushy sales people. ‼️. I eat gluten-free and dairy-free, and I avoid excessive amounts of sugar. I don’t restrict myself further and I don’t beat myself up mentally if I decide to snack.
I just snack differently. I only do this because it works for ME. 👩🏼⚕️
I started eating this way officially on January 5. Within one week, I could not believe how much better I felt.
I still eat sugar, I still eat carbs, I still eat fast food, I still go out for meals with friends, just not excessively. I’m sure I’ve had small amounts of gluten and dairy in that time frame as well. But you know what? THAT’S OKAY.
Life is all about balance. I have found my balance in limiting certain foods and eating healthy 80% of the time. I will never preach or promote my way of eating. It is only a suggestion because of the benefits it’s had on me.
In 6 weeks, I’ve lost 20lbs, I’ve gained so much energy, my mental health has stabilized, my digestive system works better, BUT IT IS A PROCESS.
And restricting yourself and beating yourself up is NEVER the answer. Find what works for YOU and find your balance. There is a reason that so many “diet plans” have cheat days. It’s unsustainable to follow those without a cheat day.
This is why I don’t restrict, I enjoy. 🚨 the definition of diet by @merriamwebster. I hate the way we’ve changed this word.

Loving the Indian flavours at the moment!
I fried some chopped aubergine, cauliflower & broccoli in some coconut oil in a late stir fry pan. Then added a jar of @meridianfoods tikka masala sauce which is free from gluten, dairy, soy and and nasties basically 👌🏼 add some chopped baby plum tomatoes, spinach and mushrooms 🍄 put the lid on and cook on a meridian heat for 20 mins. I added some chicken to mine but you could add any meat or just keep it vege. I heated some sun dried tomato rice by @tildarice to go with it.
So it’s a quick and easy meal anyone can make, adding your own vegetables. It’s colourful, tasty and free from any nasty ingredients even though it’s shop bought rice & sauce 👌🏼🧡 for those who, like me, don’t always have tome to make pastes from scratch 😜
