I think you can tell by now that I am obsessed with @mariannewilliamson but in my defense, it is a meaninful obsession and investment in her valuable teachings. Being an entrepreneur is very challenging but the more I accept the diversity of my work and the truth that everyone is different, the better I move forward with this truth that indeed there is room for everyone to be beautiful xoxo 💪🌏🌿💋
So yesterday I was reminded why @greggrenfrew started @beautycounter in the first place: to provide products that are safer & better than most of what’s available to us AND to educate others about better options. 💁🏻♀️ This goes way beyond skincare, makeup, and shampoo ... so here are a few cleaner living 💚 tips - that are super easy - from Gregg herself: remove your shoes at the door /// use safer cleaning supplies /// switch to glass from plastic (Ikea has super glass container options, y’all) /// purge the perfume. Like Gregg, I no longer use/wear it AT ALL anymore ///replace vinyl shower curtains
J.p Morgan took over the industry of banking and gave donations to medical schools, and gave his art to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, effectively giving back to the community and educating the public.
#piece •

It's impossible to explain what it's like losing a parent; nearly 10 months ago I lost my Dad and best friend to cancer. He was only diagnosed 9 months earlier, but fortunately we were one of the lucky families who had time to say our goodbyes.
In memory of my Dad, I will be partaking in Relay For Life @relayforlifeaus this year with a $3000 goal. This is an amazing event run by The Cancer Council @cancercouncil , who I am privileged to have partnered with through my blog (Tasmanian Branch). This event is a chance for communities to recognise and celebrate those who have overcome cancer or are undergoing treatment, as well as the people who care for them. Relay also provides an opportunity to celebrate the memory of loved ones lost to cancer.
If anyone would like to donate, or become a part of the Ben's Tripping Team or even register yourself, please click on the link in my bio. Any donation would be greatly appreciated, and you can remain completely anonymous if you like. All donations go directly to the Relay.
As this is something I am passionate about, I am excited to be jumping on board as a committe member for the Gold Coast 2018 event. As Marketing, Promotions and Sponsorship Co-ordinator, I am looking for any businesses or locals around the Gold Coast area who may be able to provide and/or donate any form of support or assistance (products, services, prizes) for this amazing event. If so, please email me - email@example.com with any enquiries.
Please tag anyone who would like to donate or provide support.
To anyone out there battling cancer, or any families affected by cancer - my thoughts are with you. Keep on fighting 💛

"I was part of a kind of web series thing that a friend of mine was doing, we had a meeting with all the cast and crew and we met up at Lentils. This was in September 2014 and I thought the place was beautiful and the food was delicious. So December of that same year I started volunteering and I didn't stop.
I’ve just recently moved to Melbourne. I miss my Sydney Lentils family here. I moved to Melbourne to study sign language because I want to be an interpreter. That's at least for the next six months or possibly even two years.
I love sign language. It's beautiful! It’s so expressive and it feels safe and comfortable for me. Sometimes when I'm speaking with my own voice I feel very vulnerable but when I shut up and just sign it's almost as if I’m playing… dancing… it feels good. I want to bump into a deaf person in the street and be able to communicate with them. I think that being able to communicate with more people is a fantastic thing. I didn't have any deaf friends or family when I started but I definitely have deaf friends now. They are beautiful people and I wouldn't be able to get to know them as well as I do now if I couldn’t sign.
There's actually a sign language practice group that meets up here at Lentils, in Newtown, at 6 pm every Tuesday. That's been going on here for about a year now. I started it up because I wanted to be able to practice more often. Lentils was just the space that I knew well and I knew that we can come and meet here.
And it's going to start in five minutes and it will be my last one." • • • • • #community#nonprofit#giveback#humansoflentils#humansofnewtown#support#volunteer#local#lentilasanything#lentilasanythingsydney#givingback#filmphotography#filmisnotdead#35mm#ishootfilm#analog#believeinfilm#filmcamera#filmfeed#film#filmcommunity#thefilmcommunity#staybrokeshootfilm#analogphotography#shootfilm#analogue#35mmfilm#buyfilmnotmegapixels#newtown#innerwest
