I've been starting my mornings with a LOT more smiles lately because I changed one simple thing about my routine.
I fill my cup first.
Every morning I used to watch the Today show. Religiously. It was like my thing! I also would wake up and the first thing I would do (after hitting snooze 3 times) is check my phone, scroll my newsfeed and check my messages.
My mind was immediately directed to focusing on other people rather than myself and then we're bombarded with negativity on the news too and it just wasn't making me wake up and feel inspired. I started my day out feeling mentality drained and worrying about everything I needed to get done.
I realized I was struggling to feel like I had enough time to do everything each day. To work full time, get my workout in, spend time on my coaching side gig biz, catch this call from our team, do this training and I realized my mornings were a great time to get some business training and some personal development in while I'm doing my make-up and curling my hair.
So now I start each day off doing something for ME! It's a small win, but on that's having a huge impact. I start my day remembering WHY I work so hard, being able to enjoy the impact I'm able to have on other people, and feeling like I've already accomplished something important right in that first hour of waking up.
That's my new routine!
