I’m finally home - for the second time. I have no plans on going back, any time soon. Presently, I have little to no pain other than my right side right behind the exit site. This is expected and will get better day-by-day, as the swelling goes down. He surgeon never released me to a full food diet, so I’m still on a liquid diet until Tuesday. I can understand why - I had to come back into the hospital a second time due to food/stomach issues. So, I get it. It just sucks. I’m so unbelievably hungry, I can’t even put it into words.
I’m being cleared for a full food diet. Worked my way through clear liquid and then full liquid. All good. I just ordered some French toast. It won’t look at good as the picture - it is hospital French toast after all. But it’s FOOD. I may even have some mashed potatoes and gravy. #ibdawareness#ulcerativecolitis#ibd#fuckibd#ileostomy#missmyfamily
2017 didn’t start off great. I was admitted to the hospital in March after having been sick for months (I was too scared to see a doctor. Not very smart.). After 8 days I got my diagnosis, ulcerative colitis (ulcerös kolit). It’s a chronic inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), and the symptoms usually come and go. I haven’t been sick since I got back from the hospital and kind of forgot that I even have UC.
I’m entering 2018 with a new flare-up (skov). I’m so so so tired of this disease, and I don’t even have it that bad compared to many others. (All the pictures are from last year. Hopefully it won’t get as bad this time.) #fuckibd
I hug one everyday! It's Crohn's and Colitis awareness week and if I've learned anything from watching several people in my life battle IBD, it's that you can't always tell by looking at somebody how sick they are... a little empathy goes a long way in this world because you never know what battle someone is fighting. 💜💜💜 #crohnsandcolitisawarenessweek#ccfa#fuckibd#ucawareness
