What a great start to the day!
Picking fresh nectarines right off the trees 🍑😋
S&R Orchard is having a fruit festival today and tomorrow - $10 entry gets you all you can eat fruit off the trees, as well as a 1.5kg bag of fruit to take home. They also have additional fruit/vegies you can buy like pumpkin, rock melon, tomatoes and corn 👍
Yup! This guy looks like this and eats a fruit based diet!!! Mike Vlasaty is a long term fruit based strength athlete since January 2008. He is a certified strength coach and holds a degree in nutrition at Western Illinois. He runs strength training classes at The Woodstock Fruit Festival, where he gives presentations on how a fruit based diet can be used for optimal athletic performance. Some of his best personal athletic accomplishments have been deadlifting over 3 times his bodyweight 445 lbs for reps, benching double his bodyweight, squatting 2.5 times his bodyweight, shoulder pressing more than his bodyweight up in the air, doing 100 one hand alternating pushups, to a name a few. Only few athletes, pound per pound, will ever reach these achievements without taking performance enhancing drugs. His Youtube channel and Instagram is, “Fruit and Strength”. He will be giving two talks about why strength training is important and how to design your own personal, ultimate strength training program and one solely on diet for optimal health and performance. Mike will also be giving multiple strength and sprints classes during the event. Mike looks forward to meeting you all and getting your fruit and strength on at the Costa Rica Fruit Festival! 💪🍉🍍🍌 #vegan#rawvegan#veganathlete#rawveganathlete#fruitarian#fruitarianathlete#buffdude#superstrong#strength#vegangains#veganfitness#fitvegan#strongvegan#mikevlasaty#fruitfestival#costarica#costaricafruitfest

Do you save your seeds? 🌱 Each and every seed contains many generations of wisdom. Each little seed holds within it, everything it needs to know to sprout, send it’s roots into the earth and it’s branches up toward the sunlight!
At Costa Rica Fruit Fest we will be saving thousands of seeds from rare and exotic fruits! On the last day of the festival we will gather together for a planting party.
We will be donating the majority of the saplings to Community Carbon Trees!
This organization offers solutions to deforestation and climate change by supplying local farmers with saplings encouraging them to aid in reforestation. The farmers are paid to enrich their soil, plant, care for, and maintain their trees.
By donating hundreds of rare and exotic fruit trees to this project, we can supply her network of farmers with very valuable trees. The amount of abundance they can receive from these trees will further encourage them to protect and preserve the regrowing forest.
Learn more about Community Carbon Trees at http://www.communitycarbontrees.org/
Reforestation starts with a seed. 🌱

Those wise men were on to something. Bananas are credited to boost mood and regulate blood sugar. Eating a banana provides instant energy and powers the brain. Once considered a luxury, the average person consumes 28 pounds of bananas per year… while the average raw vegan might consume close to 1,100 pounds per year! That’s just banana’s! 🍌😂 Here in Costa Rica we have many varieties of bananas. The bananas here can taste like flowers, apples, or even vanilla. They can be small, large, round, square or even shaped like praying hands. Fruit is fun! At Costa Rica Fruit Fest, not only can you enjoy tropical exotics that you have never tried, you can even expand your tastebuds with new versions of fruit you may already know and love! Join us in July. Want to support regenerative eco systems projects? Come to Costa Rica Fruit Festival! All of the infrastructure being built for the festival, both permanent and temporary, will utilize bamboo and hardwood cedars that are harvested, treated and processed directly on site at The Diamanté Center. Bamboo is truly a regenerative building product producing new shoots every year and is one of the best options from building sustainably. Pound for pound it is stronger than steel and a life time building product if treated and cured properly. It’s also a renewable resource that needs little energy to grow, prevents soil erosion, provides biomass, offers wildlife refuge, and produces a healthy food supply for both wildlife and humans. Offering significant remediation from the effects of climate change, bamboo produces more oxygen than other plants, and captures higher amounts of CO2. The first harvest can be taken in three to five years, significantly faster than wood forests which typically need 25 years. Harvested properly, ten percent of every clump can be taken annually without needing new plantings or negatively impacting the original grove. Bamboo building is a positive solution to the unsustainable problems that arise with traditional construction methods. At Costa Rica Fruit Fest we will be building covered tent camping platforms, communal structures, cabinas, furniture, a kids playground and jungle gym all utilizing natural building methods and our local bamboo. If you want to learn more about working and building with natural bamboo, our founder Trey Abernethy, is hosting a full week long course for building with bamboo at Finca Morpho in May. 🦋 Get the details here: www.naturalbuildingcr.com #naturalbuilding#regenerative#sustainable#positivesolutions#bamboo#cedar#localbamboo#localbuildingmatierals#greenbuilding#costarica#fruitfest#fruitfestival#costaricafruitfest#vegan#rawvegan#fruitarian

We’re jumping for #jackfruit to have Brittney Johnson sharing her #wisdom with us at #costaricafruitfest ! Brittney will be sharing workshops reminding us how to ignite the #healer within, how to live with #prosperity#consciousness , as well as a wild foods walk! Brittney Johnson is a world #traveler who studies #regenerative solutions by visiting ecovillages, #sustainable farms, earth-centered communities, and indigenous-oriented gatherings. A few years ago, she founded @fruittheworld to promote #biodiversity and the planting of fruit trees that support both human #health and ecological resilience.
While experiencing various chronic and autoimmune conditions, she was led to the wisdom of fruits, herbs, and fasting. After developing her personal practice, Brittney established Top of the Mountain Healing to assist others in reactivating their innate power of self-regeneration. More recently, she co-founded a regenerative business agency, Triple Bottom Line, and also Gaia Sky Conscious Creations to #connect organizations and share resources. ✨🙏❤️ come learn and grow with us at fruit fest! We are super excited to have our friend Jason Hunter join us again this year! Jason will be leading daily Qigong classes, teaching a workshop on the "Mucusless Diet Healing System", co-leading several permaculture workshops and also sitting on our regenerative detoxification panel discussion.
Jason is a Certified Detoxification Specialist and Permaculture Designer. He has an intuitive relationship with fruit-bearing plants and thrives when surrounded by edible landscapes.
While transforming his own physical and emotional health after an industrial accident, his personal journey led him to a variety of successful healers. From this life experience, he developed his own style of blending modalities which he shares in his holistic health counseling practice.
Jason uses a combination of iridology, physiological analysis, herbology and Qi Gong to guide others to bring their own bodies back into balanced, focused awareness. His passion is studying how physics and chemistry manipulate physiological transformation and he is driven to guide others through their own journey of healing genetic and chronic weaknesses.
He has performed as a licensed building contractor, a teacher, and co-founder of Duluth Biodiesel Cooperative and lately enjoys spending time on his terraced farm in the hills of San Diego, California.
