Happy Sunday Peeps! So I did a post this morning just keeping it real about #mumlife or #reallife for that matter.
Truth is I don’t always feel perky, I don’t always have a fridge full of delicious healthy food, I’m not always organised & I don’t always jump out of bed..... but that’s okay because no one does and that’s reality. Especially when you are busting your ass trying to be the best at everything and always show up 110%!! By choosing to make the best of what I have in all areas of my life and by living a fit & healthy lifestyle 90% of the time I feel pretty dam good most of the time but today I’m just in a funk 😒 ha ha!! This smoothie is what I came up with for breakfast making the most of what I had this morning. The recipe is explained in my live feed and it’s pretty delicious & nutritious 👌🏼 Luckily I always have whole foods stocked in my pantry for these situations. Off to the market today for fresh food goodness to get stocked for up for the week. 🙌🏻 #happyhealthyfoody

Final week of the 4 for 4 challenge 😄 Your 4th week of a regular and consistent Bikram yoga practice. Post CrossFit refuel number two! Straight after the session I had a banana and protein shake to repair those muscles after this mornings crazy 1.5 session. This is my brunch pictured eaten at 11am, 2 hours after training. I’m feeling amazing, I loved today’s second workout it was a epic partner WOD with a time cap of 50 minutes, my partner Valosh & I @nurturethenest finished in 36 mins & 11 secs. Today I want to share my 2018 journey so far... 2017 I was on a roller coaster emotionally which effected my body shape like a yo-yo. 🎢
I fell Inlove with Crossfit as my therapy and began to eat to train and train to perform. 🏋🏽♀️After competing in my first competition and gaining a lot of size I cut back down to a happy lean (Photo 2) ☀️December 2017 I went away to Thailand for one month and enjoyed my time eating and drinking what I like and loved every minute 🍻
2016 I was 10% body fat. Between now and then I have changed drastically....
Photo 1 (TOP) is the day I got back on January 5th 2018(20% body fat)
I then worked hard and ate super strict and clean and the transformation underneath was exactly 4 weeks later, 4th February 2018. 💪🏼 Since 4th of Feb up until probably end of March I have lots of fun things planned with my boyfriend and friends, and plan on training hard but living a fun and balanced life. 😊
The last two pictures are my current state. •Do I have my dream body? No.
•Am I healthy, fit and happy?
Absolutely! 💪🏼 I will continue to train hard, eat well but enjoy life and let’s see what a healthy, fun, fit and balanced life can achieve. I will repost in 14 weeks to see what can be achieved with balance and no real life stopping restrictions! ❤️ Two of my favourite quotes :

Training mid morning is the best because I get to eat 2 lunches 😂 💪🏼 Post workout early lunch: The delicious seed, pumpkin, zucchini & feta loaf I made yesterday with a soft boiled egg and fresh coriander. 😋😋 Yep I am one of those strange people who loves coriander.... it’s so fresh and bloody delicious, how can you not!
Who else loves lunch and sometimes has 2?? 🙈 I ate this one at 11:30am and I’ll most likely have Greek yoghurt, nuts and berries around 1:30pm-2pm or maybe a chicken wrap...... 🤔 #happyhealthyfoody#coachjlowe

ATHLETE OF THE MONTH //
Undergoing the natural evolution of athletes migrating from Gymnasty classes to CrossFit, Donny is completely and utterly under the influence of the CrossFit gateway drug. You’d recognise Donny by his ever-present smile, his impressive gymnastics skills, and his incessant work ethic.
What keeps you coming back to CrossFit?
Initially, i thought the heady concoction of chalk and sweat contained an addictive substance, and when I first started at Niche wherever I trained it resembled the final scene out of the movie Scarface!!!! Hahaha, but no once I curbed (slightly) my chalk habit I realised I love the community of like-minded fitness oriented crew here at Niche, and there’s something special about that moment of silence at the end of a WOD when you look around the room and people of every fitness level are just spent, I think there’s a special bond you develop with people you’ve just been through a self-inflicted traumatic experience with!
What tip would you give to someone just starting in CrossFit?
* Be humble, be patient, listen to your coaches, and listen to your body, AND NEVER stop having fun!
* Be inspired by those around you, but don’t compare yourself to them, everyone starts their journey from a different place.
* Never forget about mobility, go to gymnastics and do yoga, its an awesome complementary practice to CrossFit. It helps you move and breathe well, and CrossFit is essentially a movement based practice, so they go hand in hand!
What is one random, non-CrossFit ‘thing’ about yourself?
Might seem a bit paradoxical, but aside from practicing yoga and being a health food/nutrition nut, I love listening to heavy metal. Whenever I’m home alone or in the car I’ve got that stuff cranking! I think it helps to balance me out !! I’m a bit of a music nerd so it’s not the only music I listen too, but I do really love thrashing out to its raw energy!
